Rossana Rory
Rossana Rory (7 August 1927 – 1 April 2020) was an Italian actress best known for her performance as Norma in Mario Monicelli's caper film '' Big Deal on Madonna Street'' (1958). Career Rory began working as a model at the age of seventeen, posing mainly for the stylist Vincenzo Ferdinandi and in fotoromanzi in the weekly magazines ''Sogno'', ''Luna Park'', and ''Cine Illustrato''. In 1951, she made her film debut in Max Neufeld's '' Licenza premio''. Dissatisfied by a series of supporting roles, Rory went to London to attend acting courses at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, with hopes of a career in Hollywood. Enrico Musy, better known as Enrico Glori (3 August 1901 – 22 April 1966) was an Italian actor. Biography Born in Naples to a wealthy family of French origin, Glori became an actor in his thirties. He spent most of his time in France where he eventually made his film debut in the 1934 film ''Street Without a Name'' directed by Pierre Chenal. He starred in many other French films for the next three years until he was called back to Italy in 1937 after finishing his work on several films which includes '' The Former Mattia Pascal''. Glori was often known for his portrayal of villainous, sadistic and treacherous characters in most of his movies through the late 1930s and early 1940s. Gianni Agus (17 August 1917 – 4 March 1994) was an Italian actor with a career in film, television, and theatre since 1938. He appeared in more than 60 films between 1938 and 1991. Life and career Born in Cagliari, Sardinia, after his diploma in accounting Agus moved to Rome to enrol in the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, from which he graduated in 1938. Galeazzo Benti (6 August 1923 – 21 April 1993) was an Italian actor. He appeared in more than 70 films between 1942 and 1991. Life and career Born Galeazzo Bentivoglio in Florence, Italy, a descendant of the Bentivoglio family, which ruled Bologna from 1401 until 1506 and from 1511 until 1512, he started his career as a cartoonist and a set designer. He was the step brother of colleague Fiammetta Baralla. After his first roles in 1942, he had his breakout in 1943, in Sergio Tofano's ''Gian Burrasca'', in which he played a frivolous and falsely modest snob, a role he specialized during his career. After successfully alternating between cinema and revue, in the late 1950s he moved to Venezuela, where he worked in a television channel dedicated to Italian immigrants. He came back to Italy in the early 1980s, and here he reprised his acting career equally splitting between films and TV-series until his death from a heart attack in 1993.
