''It’s Time to See Who’s Who'' is the debut album from the British punk rock band Conflict. It was released in 1983 by Corpus Christi Records, and rerecorded and released in 1994 as ''It's Time to See Who's Who Now'' on the band's own label Mortarhate Records, with a different track listing. Conflict (band)
Conflict are an English anarcho-punk band originally based in Eltham in South London. History Formed in 1981, the band's original line up consisted of: Colin Jerwood (vocals), Francisco 'Paco' Carreno (drums), John (bass guitar), Steve (guitars), Pauline (vocals), and Paul a.k.a. ' Nihilistic Nobody' (visuals). Their first release was the 1982 EP "The House That Man Built" on Crass Records. By the time they released their first album, 1983s '' It's Time to See Who's Who'', on Corpus Christi Records, Pauline and Paul had left the band. In 1983, Conflict set up their own Mortarhate Records label, which put out their own records as well as releases by other artists including Hagar the Womb, Icons of Filth, Lost Cherrees, The Apostles, and Stalag 17. Anarcho-punk
Anarcho-punk (also known as anarchist punk or peace punk) is an ideological subgenre of punk rock that promotes anarchism. Some use the term broadly to refer to any punk music with anarchist lyrical content, which may figure in crust punk, hardcore punk, folk punk, and other styles. Corpus Christi Records
Corpus Christi Records is a British independent record label started by some of the members of Crass and their recording engineer and business partner John Loder, to release records by artists who did not perhaps fit in with some of the stricter ideals of the Crass Records label. Several of the artists on the label had debuted with 7-inch single/EP releases on Crass Records, but Corpus Christi was used for future releases. According to Crass' Penny Rimbaud, the label was set up to allow artists who had started on the Crass label to set up their own record deal with Loder of Southern Studios under Crass' guidance. Some of the artists on the label, however, such as UK Decay, Icons of Filth, and the American band Crucifix were signed by Loder without any prior involvement with Crass. The programme was the world's longest-running weekly music show. For most of its history, it was broadcast on Thursday evenings on BBC One. Each show consisted of performances of some of the week's best-selling popular music records, usually excluding any tracks moving down the chart, including a rundown of that week's singles chart.
