Issy Pollard
Isobel "Issy" Pollard (born 2 December 1975) is an English former footballer who played for the England women's national football team. She played for several clubs at FA Women's Premier League level and for Betsele IF in Sweden. Club career Pollard played football at Old Town Primary School in Hebden Bridge. She was also an accomplished field hockey player, representing West Yorkshire Schools and Calderdale under-18s. After contacting the Women's Football Association (WFA) for a club, Pollard was put in touch with Yorkshire and Humberside League Bradford City, who she joined at youth level. When the WFA formed a National League in 1991–92, Pollard wanted to play at the higher standard. Halifax, West Yorkshire
Halifax () is a minster and market town in the Metropolitan Borough of Calderdale in West Yorkshire, England. It is the commercial, cultural and administrative centre of the borough, and the headquarters of Calderdale Council. The FA Women's National League Northern Premier Division is a league at the third-level in the women's football league pyramid in England, along with the Southern division. These two divisions are part of the FA Women's National League and below the Women's Super League and Women's Championship. The league is played on a home and away basis, with each team playing each other twice, and points being awarded in the standard three points for a win format. The bottom two clubs are relegated, also on a geographical basis, to the Division One Northern, and Division One Midland. In professional football, a transfer is the action taken whenever a player under contract moves between clubs. It refers to the transferring of a player's registration from one association football club to another. Promotion And Relegation
In sports leagues, promotion and relegation is a process where teams are transferred between multiple divisions based on their performance for the completed season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are often called open leagues. In a system of promotion and relegation, the best-ranked team(s) in the lower division are ''promoted'' to the higher division for the next season, and the worst-ranked team(s) in the higher division are ''relegated'' to the lower division for the next season. A punch is a striking blow with the fist. It is used in most martial arts and combat sports, most notably boxing, where it is the only type of offensive technique allowed. Samantha Britton
Samantha Britton (born 8 December 1973) is an English retired footballer, and former England international player. An extremely versatile performer, Britton was equally at home playing in defence, midfield or attack. Britton played for England in the 1995 FIFA Women's World Cup. She dropped out of the side after the finals, but scored on her return two years later as England beat Scotland 4–0. At the time she was playing for Cove Rangers in Scotland, but was looking for a move back to the English Premier League. She had previously played for Arsenal. Chantel Marie "Channy" Woodhead (born 17 September 1974 in Leeds, England) is a former English international football player.
