''Is'' (stylized ''is'') is the tenth studio album by the American rock band My Morning Jacket. The album was recorded at Henson Recording Studios with the record producer Brendan O'Brien, and released on March 21, 2025, by ATO Records to critical acclaim. Background and release ''Is'', the tenth studio album of the American rock band My Morning Jacket, follows their 2021 self-produced eponymous record. The band worked across two sessions to write the album, producing over 100 demo tracks. The album was recorded at Henson Recording Studios, where the band worked with an outside producer, Brendan O'Brien, for the first time in its career. My Morning Jacket
My Morning Jacket is an American rock band formed in Louisville, Kentucky in 1998. The band consists of vocalist/guitarist Jim James, bassist Tom Blankenship, drummer Patrick Hallahan, guitarist Carl Broemel, and keyboardist Bo Koster. Mastering, a form of audio post production, is the process of preparing and transferring recorded audio from a source containing the final mix to a data storage device (the master), the source from which all copies will be produced (via methods such as pressing, duplication or replication). Emily Lazar
Emily B. Lazar is an American mastering engineer. She is the founder, president, and chief mastering engineer of The Lodge, an audio mastering facility that has operated in New York City's Greenwich Village since 1997. She won a Grammy Award for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical for Beck's album '' Colors'', becoming the first female mastering engineer to win in this category. Carl Broemel
Carl Broemel (born January 30, 1974) is an American Rock music, rock musician. He currently plays guitar, pedal steel guitar, saxophone and sings back-up vocals for the Louisville, Kentucky band My Morning Jacket. He played guitar in the pop/rock band Old Pike and in the alternative pop/rock band Silvercrush. History Broemel grew up on the northside of Indianapolis, Indiana. He is best known for his work as a member of the band My Morning Jacket and as a touring musician with Roger Waters and Ray LaMontagne.
