National Olympic Committee Of Iraq
The National Olympic Committee of Iraq (NOCI) () is the National Olympic Committee (NOC) for Iraq. It was established in 1948 and recognized by the International Olympic Committee that same year. It was officially dissolved in May 2003 by L. Paul Bremer under Coalition Provisional Authority Order Number 2. but was reestablished in February 2004 with the assistance of the International Olympic Committee. Its current Director General is Tiras Odisho an ethnic Assyrian people, Assyrian Christians, Christian, a Karate expert and coach, based in Sweden. The 2030 Asian Games (), officially known as the 21st Asian Games () and commonly known as Doha 2030 (), will be the twenty-first edition of the Asian Games, a pan-Asian multi-sport event that scheduled to be held from 4 to 19 November 2030 in Doha, Qatar. The 2026 Asian Games (), also known as 20th Asian Games () and Aichi-Nagoya 2026 (), will be a multi-sport event celebrated around Aichi Prefecture in Japan from 19 September to 4 October 2026. The prefecture capital Nagoya will be the epicenter of the events. The games marked the 110th anniversary since the creation of the first continental event, starting with the 1913 Far Eastern Championship Games. The 1998 Asian Games (), officially known as the 13th Asian Games () and the XIII Asiad,, or simply Bangkok 1998 (), were an Asian multi-sport event celebrated in Bangkok, Thailand from December 6 to 20, 1998, with 377 events in 36 sports and disciplines participated by 6,554 athletes across the continent. The sporting events commenced on 30 November 1998, a week earlier than the opening ceremony. It is a last time that the multi-sport event would be held in Bangkok until the 2007 Summer Universiade. 1994 Asian Games
The 1994 Asian Games (), also known as the XII Asiad and the 12th Asian Games () or simply Hiroshima 1994 (), were held from October 2 to 16, 1994, in Hiroshima, Japan. It was the first Asian Games in history to be hosted in a non-capital city. The main theme of this edition was to promote peace and harmony among Asian nations. This concept was used due to the historical fact that the city was the site of the first atomic bomb attack 49 years earlier. Due to the 1991 Gulf War, Iraq was suspended from the games. The games debuted the five Asian former republics of the Soviet Union: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. The 7th Asian Games (), also known as Tehran 1974 (), were held from 1 to 16 September 1974 in Tehran, Iran. The Aryamehr Sports Complex was built for the Games. This marked the first time the Asian Games were hosted in the Middle East.
