Interstate 64 In West Virginia
Interstate 64 (I-64) is an Interstate Highway in the US state of West Virginia. It travels east–west through the state for passing by the major towns and cities of Huntington, Charleston, Beckley, and Lewisburg. Route description I-64 travels for within the state of West Virginia, passing by the major cities of Huntington, Beckley, and Lewisburg and directly through the capital city of Charleston. It has only two major junctions within the state: I-77 in Charleston and in Beckley. It also crosses the Kanawha River a total of four times in a stretch (twice west of Charleston, immediately before entering the downtown Charleston area, then approximately east of downtown Charleston in Kanawha City). Milton, West Virginia
Milton is a town in Cabell County, West Virginia, United States. The population was 2,831 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Huntington–Ashland metropolitan area. History The town was named after Milton Reece, the original owner of the town site. Milton is noted for the historic Mud River Covered Bridge across the nearby Mud River. In 2002, the covered bridge was moved to nearby Pumpkin Park. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. The town is also known for Blenko Glass, which is across the street from Pumpkin Park. Ona is a small unincorporated community along US 60 (the old Midland Trail) in Cabell County, West Virginia, United States. It is situated roughly halfway between the towns of Barboursville to the west and Milton to the east. It has a population of 4,512 and spans over a radius of 28.06 square miles. Kanawha City is a neighborhood of the city of Charleston in Kanawha County, West Virginia, United States. It is in the southeastern part of the city, and located along WV 61 (MacCorkle Ave.) It officially starts at the 35th Street bridge, where there is a sign welcoming visitors. The Kanawha River ( ) is a tributary of the Ohio River, approximately 97 mi (156 km) long, in the U.S. state of West Virginia. The largest inland waterway in West Virginia, its watershed has been a significant industrial region of the state since early in the 19th century.
