Inga Berit Svestad
Inga Berit Svestad (born 28 June 1985 in Åndalsnes) is a retired Norwegian team handball, handball player. She played for Byåsen HE, and on the Norway women's national handball team, Norwegian national team. She made her debut on the Norwegian national team in 2009 in a match against Croatia women's national handball team, Croatia, and played 13 matches and scored 15 goals for the national team in 2009. With the club Byåsen, she participated in the Women's EHF Champions League. Åndalsnes
is a town in Rauma Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. Åndalsnes is in the administrative center of Rauma Municipality. It is located along the Isfjorden, at the mouth of the river Rauma, at the north end of the Romsdalen valley. The village of Isfjorden lies about to the east, Veblungsnes lies just to the west across the Rauma, and Innfjorden lies about to the southwest via the European Route E136 highway. Byåsen HE
Byåsen Håndball Elite is the women's handball team of the Norwegian multi-sports club Byåsen IL based in Trondheim. The team plays in Eliteserien, the top division in the country, since its promotion in 1982. The team's first success came as a third division club, when in 1980 it won the silver medal in the national cup. Among its successes are four domestic league and four domestic cup titles, and the club also has a good reputation in the continental arena, having reached the latest stage of the European cup competitions, including the EHF Cup Winners' Cup final in 2007. Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end. The Women's EHF Champions League is the competition for the top women's handball clubs in Europe, organised annually by the European Handball Federation (EHF). It is the most prestigious tournament for clubs, with the champions of Europe's top national leagues participating. Tournament structure Each year, the EHF publishes a ranking list of its member federations. The first 27 nations are allowed to participate in the tournament with their national champion.
