Indonesia National Badminton Team
The Indonesia National Badminton Team () represents Indonesia in international badminton team competitions and is controlled by the Badminton Association of Indonesia, the governing body for badminton in Indonesia. Indonesia is one of the only two countries beside China who has won all badminton discipline in the Olympic Games. The Indonesian team has not been absent from the Thomas Cup tournament (world men's team championship) since it first entered and won the competition in 1958. The Indonesia men's team has participated in Thomas Cup 30 times, won the title 14 times and never failed to qualify for inter-zone competition. Indonesia has played in the decisive final tie on 22 occasions and once failed to place among the top four teams in 2012. The Badminton Association of Indonesia (; 'All Indonesia Badminton Association'; abbreviated as PBSI) is the governing body of badminton in Indonesia. It was founded on 5 May 1951 in Bandung. The PBSI joined the Badminton Asia Confederation in 1959 and later on also the Badminton World Federation. The Indonesian badminton is ranked 3rd in the world according to BWF's 2020 rankings. PBSI is also the governing body of the Indonesia national badminton team. 2020 Thomas & Uber Cup
The 2020 Thomas & Uber Cup (officially known as the TotalEnergies BWF Thomas & Uber Cup Finals 2020 for sponsorship reasons) was the 31st edition of the Thomas Cup and the 28th edition of the Uber Cup, the biennial international badminton championship contested by the men and women's national teams of the member associations of Badminton World Federation (BWF). The tournament were played at Ceres Arena in Aarhus, Denmark. It is the first time that Denmark hosted the Thomas Cup and Uber Cup tournament and the first time this event was held in Europe since England 1982. The 1993 Asian Badminton Championships (officially, Seiko Asian Badminton Men's Team Championships) was the 12th edition of Badminton Asia Championships. The 1996 Thomas & Uber Cup was the 19th tournament of the Thomas Cup, and the 16th tournament of the Uber Cup, which are the major international team competitions in world badminton. The 1996 Thomas and Uber Cup press conference was held in Bank Rakyat Indonesia's building at the Sentra BRI Complex in Sudirman, Central Jakarta. The press conference was led by Putera Sampoerna, the chairman of PT HM Sampoerna Tbk which is the manufacturer of A Mild, the 5th Indonesian largest cigarette brand.
