Indian Cricket Team In Zimbabwe In 2001
The Indian cricket team toured Zimbabwe from 28 May to 7 July 2001 and played two Test matches against Zimbabwe, with each team winning one game match. This would be Zimbabwe's only Test victory over a side other than Bangladesh until they beat Pakistan in the second Test in 2013. India and Zimbabwe also participated in a triangular One Day International (ODI) competition with West Indies, with the latter eventually winning the competition. Heath Streak
Heath Hilton Streak (16 March 1974 – 3 September 2023) was a Zimbabwean cricketer and cricket coach who played for and captained the Zimbabwe national cricket team. He was the all time leading wicket taker for Zimbabwe in Test cricket with 216 wickets and in ODI cricket with 239 wickets. Streak remains the only Zimbabwean cricketer to have taken over 100 Test wickets and completed the double of 2,000 runs and 200 wickets in ODIs. He was also one of only four Zimbabwean bowlers to have taken over 100 ODI wickets. He holds the record for the most five-wicket hauls by a Zimbabwean in Tests, having achieved the feat seven times. Country Club, formerly known as the Interfin High Performance Academy, is a cricket ground based in Harare. It has been the home ground to some powerful teams in the Zimbabwean domestic circuit, such as the Takashinga Cricket Club, the CFX Academy cricket team. Sadagoppan Ramesh
Sadagoppan Ramesh (born 13 October 1975) is a former Indian international cricketer. He is a left-handed opening batter and an occasional right-arm off break bowler. He had represented the Indian cricket team while also representing Tamil Nadu and South zone in domestic cricket. Barney Guy Rogers (born 20 August 1982) is a Zimbabwean former international cricketer. He played four Test matches and 15 One Day Internationals (ODIs) for the Zimbabwe national cricket team between 2002 and 2005 and first-class cricket in Zimbabwean domestic competitions. Leon Soma (born 25 February 1982) is a Zimbabwean former cricketer. He played twenty-three first-class matches between 1999 and 2004. Biography Soma became interested in cricket at Hillcrest Preparatory School. He was coached by former Manicaland player Ryan Barbour. An all-rounder since his junior school years, he holds significant achievements including a best score of 57 against an elite English school team and six wickets against Springvale. Hemang Kamal Badani (; born 14 November 1976) is a former Indian international cricketer. He is a left-handed batter and an occasional slow left-arm bowler. Gary Bazil Brent (born 13 January 1976) is a former Zimbabwean cricketer. Brent was an inswinging bowler, with a good slow-arm bowling technique. Kevan Barbour
Kevan Christopher Barbour (born 23 October 1949) is an international cricket umpire from Zimbabwe. Previously, he has served as the president, chairman and provincial manager of the Manicaland Cricket Association. Early life Barbour was born in Bulawayo and educated at Milton High School. He played for Matabeleland from 1968 until 1970, when he moved to work in Mutare, and then played for Manicaland until 1975. He also played for the Rhodesia B cricket team. After a further move to Kwekwe, he played for Midlands until 1977. He settled back in Mutare and played for Manicaland again until 1979. Retired Barbour retired as a cricketer in 1996, and took up umpiring.
