Kohima
Kohima (; Angami Naga: ''Kewhira'' ()), is the capital of the Northeastern Indian state of Nagaland. With a resident population of almost 100,000, it is the second largest city in the state. Originally known as ''Kewhira'', Kohima was founded in 1878 when the British Empire established its headquarters of the then Naga Hills District of Assam Province. It officially became the capital after the state of Nagaland was inaugurated in 1963. Kohima was the site of one of the bloodiest battles of World War II. The battle is often referred to as the ''Stalingrad of the East''. In 2013, the British National Army Museum voted the Battle of Kohima to be ''Britain's Greatest Battle''. Kohima constitutes both a district and a municipality. The municipality covers . Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima
Indira Gandhi Stadium is a football stadium in Kohima, Nagaland. Opened in 2003, the stadium hosts major regional football matches including The Northeast T. Ao Trophy and NSF Martyrs Trophy. With 20,000 seats, it is the largest stadium in Nagaland. Hovithal Sothu
Hovithal Sothu (born 9 August 1969), is an Indian Educationist from Nagaland and the present Project Director at Task Force For Music & Arts, Government of Nagaland. Early life and education Hovithal Sothu was born on 9 August 1969, in Viswema, Nagaland. He received his primary education from St. Joseph's School, Viswema and finished high school from Loyola School, Jakhama. Then, he went on to join the Kohima Science College to pursue his dreams of becoming a doctor where he completed his B.Sc. Career He found his first employment opportunity in the PWD Department and started his career as a peon on fixed pay. He went on to complete his M.Sc, after which, he was selected as a lecturer at Kohima Science College, Jotsoma. He taught at Kohima Science College for a few decades until he chanced upon a vacant post for an associate professor under Home Department in the Nagaland Disaster Management Cell. Hornbill Festival
The Hornbill Festival is an annual festival celebrated from 1 to 10 of December in the Northeastern Indian state of Nagaland. The festival represents all ethnic groups of Nagaland for which it is also called the ''Festival of Festivals''. Background The state of Nagaland is home to several ethnic groups, which have their own distinct festivals. More than 60% of the population of Nagaland depends on agriculture and therefore most of their festivals revolve around agriculture. The Nagas consider their festivals sacred, so participation in these festivals is essential. To encourage inter-ethnic interaction and to promote cultural heritage of Nagaland, the Government of Nagaland organizes the Hornbill Festival every year in the first week of December. The first festival was held in December 2000.

Hekani Jakhalu Kense
Hekani Jakhalu Kense (; born after 1976) is an Indian politician and social entrepreneur from Nagaland. She set up the non-governmental organization YouthNet to help the youths of Nagaland pursue business opportunities. She was recognised with the Nari Shakti Puraskar award in 2018. In 2023, Jakhalu along with Salhoutuonuo Kruse became the first women from Nagaland to be elected to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly. She is a member of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP). Early life Hekani Jakhalu was born in Dimapur, Nagaland. She was educated at Bishop Cotton Girls' School in Bengaluru and earned a bachelor's degree in political science at Lady Shri Ram College in Delhi.
