Independent Group Of Benalmádena
Independent Group of Benalmádena (in Spanish: ''Grupo Independiente de Benalmádena'') is a political party in the municipality of Benalmádena, Spain. GIB is led by the mayor of the municipality, Enrique Bolín. In the 1999 municipal elections GIB won 5,251 votes (40.93%) and eleven seats in the municipal council. It was joined by the sole Independent Liberal Group The Liberal Independent Group ( es, Grupo Independiente Liberal, GIL) was a right-wing Spanish political party, founded in 1991 by the businessman Jesús Gil y Gil who was mayor of Marbella in the Costa del Sol, and convicted of corruption. Benalmádena () is a town in Andalusia in southern Spain, 12 km west of Málaga, on the Costa del Sol between Torremolinos and Fuengirola. Benalmádena is rich in attractive beaches and interesting places like the Colomares Castle, the 33-metre-tall Buddhist Benalmádena Stupa, the largest Buddhist stupa in Europe, the Benalmádena Marina and the Benalmádena Cable Car.
