''Incredible but True'' (french: Incroyable mais vrai) is a 2022 French-Belgian black comedy film written and directed by Quentin Dupieux. It stars Alain Chabat, Léa Drucker, Benoît Magimel, and Anaïs Demoustier. In the film, Alain (Chabat) and Marie (Drucker) see their lives turned upside down after moving into a new home which has a mysterious tunnel in the basement. Plot Alain, who works as an insurance broker, looks to buy a new house in suburban France with his wife, Marie. The estate agent, Franck Chaise, reveals the tunnel in the basement of one house causes anyone who enters to reverse ageing by three days, but makes time to fast forward by 12 hours. Buoyed by this, Marie convinces Alain to buy the home. Alain invites his boss, Gérard, and his girlfriend Jeanne to visit the home; Marie spends most of the encounter in the tunnel, which she goes onto regularly use. Quentin Dupieux
Quentin Dupieux (, born 14 April 1974), also known by his musical stage name Mr. Oizo (), is a French filmmaker, electronic musician, and DJ. Dupieux is credited with his legal name for his films, while the name "Mr. Oizo" is used for his musical works. Dupieux has directed numerous films including ''Rubber'' (2010), '' Wrong'' (2012), '' Wrong Cops'' (2013), and ''Reality'' (2014). The 72nd annual Berlin International Film Festival, usually called the Berlinale took place from 10 to 20 February 2022 in person. On 15 December 2021 the first film of the festival was announced.
