In the Company of Angels II: The World Will Sing is the seventh major release from Caedmon's Call. It was released on March 7, 2006 through Essential Records. Background In 2001 acoustic folk/pop group Caedmon's Call released ''In The Company of Angels: A Call to Worship''. The album was celebrated as one of the best selling titles in the Caedmon's catalog, scanning 250,000 units to date. Caedmon's followed up with ''In the Company Of Angels 2: The World Will Sing'' featuring a blend of familiar praise and worship choruses, along with original songs written by the band. To this day the members of Caedmon’s Call have remained active in their home churches, this project takes that experience to a national platform. Caedmon's Call
Caedmon's Call is a contemporary Christian band which fused traditional folk with world music and alternative rock. They were composed of Cliff Young (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Danielle Young (vocals), Garett Buell (percussion), Jeff Miller (bass guitar), Todd Bragg (drums), and Josh Moore (keyboard, accordion, harmonica). Former members include Doug Elmore (percussion), Cari Harris Moore (vocals), Randy Holsapple (Hammond organ), Aric Nitzberg (bass guitar), Joshua Phillips (pan flute/percussion), and Aaron Tate (songwriting duties). Essential Records is a contemporary Christian record label based in Franklin, Tennessee. It is a division of the major label Sony Music Nashville. Share the Well is the sixth major release from Caedmon's Call. It was released on October 12, 2004 through Essential Records. Inspired by the band's trip to India, Brazil and Ecuador, Share the Well explores universal Christian themes in a variety of geographies, with songs that look through the eyes of both visitor and resident. Major themes include God's all-sufficient goodness, the need for people to share what they have with each other, and the inherent dignity of the oppressed; in particular the Dalit caste of India. I Surrender All
"I Surrender All" is a Christian hymn, with words written by American art teacher and musician Judson W. Van DeVenter (1855–1939), who subsequently became a music minister and evangelist. It was put to music by Winfield S. Weeden (1847–1908), and published in 1896. Van DeVenter said of the inspiration for the text: Van DeVenter and inception of the hymn Judson Van DeVenter was born on a farm in Michigan in 1855. Following graduation from Hillsdale College, he became an art teacher and supervisor of art in the public schools of Sharon, Pennsylvania. He was, in addition, an accomplished musician, singer, and composer. Van DeVenter was also an active layman in his Methodist Episcopal Church, involved in the church's evangelistic meetings. Andrew Osenga
Andrew Osenga is an American singer-songwriter and rock musician. He also writes, produces, engineers and plays guitar for other artists. Formerly the lead singer of The Normals, who broke up in 2003 for financial and family reasons, Osenga currently pursues a solo career in which he has released four albums. He is also a former member of the band Caedmon's Call; he had taken over as vocalist/guitarist while Derek Webb was gone from the band. In 2006, Osenga co-founded the ''Square Peg Alliance'' along with 12 other independent Nashville artists. In 2014, Osenga took a job with Capitol Records in A&R for their Christian music division. Randall Kilpatrick Goodgame (born February 15, 1974) is an American singer-songwriter of contemporary Christian music and the creative force behind the family music brand, Slugs & Bugs. Goodgame has recorded eight solo albums and contributed to numerous others. He has written songs for Caedmon's Call, Andrew Peterson, Jason Gray, Jill Phillips, and Eric Peters.
