Peter Wood (director)
Peter Wood (8 October 1925 – 11 February 2016) was an English theatre and film director. Biography Wood was born on 8 October 1925 in Colyton, Devon. His father Frank Wood was a basketmaker and his mother, Lucy Eleanor (Nell), née Meeson was a seamstress. Wood developed his interest in acting while at Taunton School. After school, he spent his National Service with the RAF in Canada and on his return he studied English at Downing College, Cambridge. Wood joined an acting troupe after university, and by 1955 he was running the Oxford Playhouse. The following year, he became resident director at the London Arts Theatre, working alongside Peter Hall During the late 1950s, Wood directed plays at Edinburgh festival and the Old Vic before travelling to Broadway to direct '' Five Finger Exercise''. Tony Selby
Anthony Samuel Selby (26 February 1938 – 5 September 2021) was an English actor. He was best known for his roles as Clive Mitchell in '' EastEnders'', Corporal Percy Marsh in '' Get Some In!'', and Sabalom Glitz in '' Doctor Who''. Life and career Selby was born in Lambeth, London, in February 1938, the son of Annie Elizabeth (Weaver), a waitress, and Samuel Joseph Selby, a cab driver. After training at the Italia Conti Stage School, he made his adult stage debut in 1956. His theatre work included the original production of Edward Bond's controversial play '' Saved'' at the Royal Court Theatre in 1965. Gordon Gostelow
Gordon Massey Gostelow (14 May 1925 – 3 June 2007) was an Australian actor. He was educated in Australia at North Sydney Boys High School and Sydney University where he graduated in Economics. Gostelow went to England in 1950 and worked in the theatre (regional repertory), including the Royal Shakespeare Company and various roles on British television. In Shakespeare he was especially associated with the role of the alcoholic reprobate Bardolph in the Henriad plays. He played the character on television in both '' An Age of Kings'' in 1960 and in the BBC Television Shakespeare's version of the plays in 1979. He also played several other roles in the former production, but was said to have been "born" to play Bardolph. Gabriella Giorgelli (born 29 July 1941) is an Italian film and television actress. She appeared in more than 70 films between 1960 and 1998. Biography Early life Born in Fossola, a frazione of Carrara, Giorgelli was the daughter of a businessman in the marble industry and a housewife. As a child her parents separated and she moved to Castelpoggio, another of Carrara's frazione and her mother's birthplace. Due to her mother's economic difficulties, at ten years of age, young old Gabriella was entrusted to the college of the Sisters of Capulet, in Carrara.
