In December 2024, four Impeachment in the Philippines, impeachment complaints were formally filed against Sara Duterte, the vice president of the Philippines, serving under President Bongbong Marcos. The measure was approved by the House of Representatives of the Philippines, House of Representatives on February 5, 2025, paving the way for a trial to proceed in the Senate of the Philippines, Senate.
