''Il sergente Rompiglioni'' ("Sergeant Rompiglioni") is a 1973 Italian comedy film directed by Giuliano Biagetti (here credited Pier Giorgio Ferretti). Giuliano Biagetti
Giuliano Biagetti (12 April 1925 – 29 March 1998) was an Italian film director and screenwriter. Life and career Born in La Spezia into a family of Pisan origins, Biagetti studied medicine at the university of Pisa, and during this time he founded the stage company "The brigade of Doctors", for which he wrote several comic-grotesque plays. He moved to Rome in the early fifties, and there he had some experience as a documentarist and as an assistant director of notable directors including Joseph Losey, Giorgio Ferroni, Giacomo Gentilomo and Roberto Rossellini, who produced and wrote the feature film debut of Biagetti, the melodrama ''Rivalità''. After a badly distributed second work Biagetti abandoned films, devoting himself to the production and direction of commercials. Mario Carotenuto
Mario Carotenuto (30 June 1916 – 14 April 1995) was an Italian actor of film and theatre. Biography Carotenuto, the son of a silent film actor and younger brother of the actor Memmo Carotenuto, took various humble jobs for many years before starting his own artistic career in 1946, first as a radio actor and then joining small avanspettacolo companies. He made his film debut in 1950, in ''Abbiamo vinto'', going on to perform as leading or supporting actor in dozens of films, often comedies. He was also very active on stage and television. Nino Terzo
Nino Terzo (22 May 1923 – 8 May 2005) was an Italian actor. Life and career Born in Palermo as Antonino Terzo, he worked intensively in the avanspettacolo and Revue, revue theater, entering the stage companies of Totò, Peppino De Filippo, Franco and Ciccio, Domenico Modugno, among others. Terzo was also active as a singer, appearing in several operettas. Terzo made his film debut in 1962, and he soon established himself as one of the most active character actors in the Italian comedy cinema, usually playing, with small variations, the character that made him famous in avanspettacolo, i.e. a man with extremely slow reflexes and a huge speech impediment, which does not allow him to speak before he loudly inhaled and exhaled. He retired in 1992 for health reasons. Francesca Romana Coluzzi (20 May 1943 – 15 July 2009) was an Italian actress. A respected dramatic actress on stage, she is probably best known for her roles in the commedia sexy all'italiana. Fiorenzo Fiorentini (10 April 1920 – 27 March 2003) was an Italian actor, author, composer, screenwriter and radio personality. Life and career Born in Rome, Fiorentini began his career as an author and radio actor, creating many successful macchiette (i.e. comic monologues caricaturing stock characters).
