Duilio Coletti
Duilio Coletti (28 December 1906 – 22 May 1999) was an Italian film director and screenwriter. He directed 29 films between 1934 and 1977. Career Born in Penne, Abruzzo, he took a degree in medicine and surgery and practiced the profession for a short time. He entered the film industry as a screenwriter and assistant director in early 1930s, then made his directorial debut in 1935 with ''Pierpin''. Coletti specialized in films of great spectacular impact and was particularly appreciated in the direction of action movies. His film '' Submarine Attack'' was entered into the 4th Berlin International Film Festival. He was a member of the jury at the 8th Berlin International Film Festival. Arnoldo Foà
Arnoldo Foà (24 January 1916 – 11 January 2014) was an Italian actor, voice actor, theatre director, singer and writer. He appeared in more than 130 films between 1938 and 2014. Biography Foà was born in Ferrara, Italy, to a Jewish family, though Foà was an atheist in his adult life. Foà completed high school in Florence, where he moved with his family, and studied at the acting school of Rasi. He abandoned his studies in economics and at age 20 moved to Rome, where he attended the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. He was initiated to the Italian Scottish Rite Freemasonry in 1947 at the Lodge "Alpi Giulie" n.150 (in Rome), taking later the highest degree. Foà died on 11 January 2014 from respiratory failure, just 13 days short of his 98th birthday. Cesare Polacco (14 May 1900 – 2 March 1986) was an Italian actor and voice actor. Life and career Born in Venice, Polacco started his career in 1920 in the stage company of Emilio Zago, with whom he played most of the Goldoni's repertoire. In 1928 he moved to Rome, where in addition to theatre he started appearing in films and working as a dubber. Being of Jewish origin, he was temporarily forced to abandon acting because of the 1938 Fascist racial laws, resuming his activities at the end of the war, in 1945. Also active on radio and television, he got a large popularity thanks to the Inspector Rock character he played in Carosello, in a series of giallo-comedy shorts aired between 1957 and 1968.
