Ijok is a state constituency in Selangor, Malaysia, that has been represented in the Selangor State Legislative Assembly since 1995. Jefri Mejan
Jefri bin Mejan (born 7 March 1979) is a Malaysian politician who has served as Member of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Ijok since August 2023. He is a member of the Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS), a component party of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) and formerly Gagasan Sejahtera (GS) coalitions. He is also an influencer on TikTok and is known for videos of cooking with the traditional method of using a wooden stove which brought back the nostalgia of the past to many netizens. Political career In the 2018 Selangor state election, Jefri made his electoral debut after being nominated by Gagasan Sejahtera (GS) to contest for the Ijok state seat. Sivalingam Arumugam
Dato' Sivalingam s/o Arumugam Karuppiah better known as K. Sivalingam (Tamil: கே. சிவலிங்கம்) (January 1948 - 4 April 2007) was a Malaysian politician of Indian descent. He was aligned to the Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC), a major component party of the incumbent Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition, and was the Selangor state MIC deputy chairman. Political career Prior to entering politics, Sivalingam was involved in journalism. He joined the MIC in 1968 at the age of 20, and by 1986 he was elected as a senator by the Selangor State Legislative Assembly. Idris bin Ahmad is a Malaysian politician who served as Member of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly for Ijok from May 2013 to August 2023. He is a member of People's Justice Party (PKR), a component party of Pakatan Harapan (PH) and formerly Pakatan Rakyat (PR) coalitions. The 13th Selangor state election was held on 5 May 2013. Khalid Ibrahim
Abdul Khalid bin Ibrahim (; 14 December 1946 – 31 July 2022) was a Malaysian politician who served as the 14th Menteri Besar of Selangor from 2008 to 2014. He was the Member of the Selangor State Assembly (MLA) for Ijok from 2008 to 2013, and MLA for Pelabuhan Klang from 2013 to 2018. At the same time, he served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Bandar Tun Razak from 2013 to 2018. Khalid was a member of the People's Justice Party (PKR), but became an independent in August 2014, coinciding with his resignation as Menteri Besar. The 12th Selangor state election was held on 8 March 2008. Polling took place in 56 constituencies throughout the State of Selangor, with each electing a state assemblyman to the Selangor State Legislative Assembly.
