Ian Ross (born April 8, 1968 in McCreary, Manitoba, Canada), the son of Grace and Raymond Ross, is a Métis / Ojibwe playwright. Life Ross earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in film and a minor in theatre from the University of Manitoba in 1992. He spent the first five years of his life in the Métis community of Kinosota, Kinosota, Manitoba before moving to Winnipeg, which he currently now calls his home. Ross has written for theatre, film, television and radio, and has been writing plays for a number of years but is perhaps best known as the creator of ''Farewel. FareWel'' is Ross’ first professional production, which later won him the 1997 Governor General's Awards, Governor General's Award for English Drama, making Ross the first Métis to win the award. Ian Ross (footballer, Born 1947)
Ian Ross (26 January 1947 – 9 February 2019) was a Scottish professional football player and manager. He spent his entire playing career in England, including spells with Liverpool, Aston Villa and Peterborough United. As a manager, he won two Icelandic championships with Valur in 1985 and 1987 and also managed in the English and Scottish leagues. Career A utility player, Ross's debut was for Liverpool on 14 January 1967 at Sheffield Wednesday in the First Division. Although never establishing himself as a first team choice, Ross served Liverpool well, often being used to mark the stars of opposing teams. He then moved to Aston Villa for £60,000 in February 1972, where he captained the side that gained promotion to the top flight and also won the League Cup. After falling out of favour at Villa, he had spells on loan at Notts County and Northampton Town before joining Peterborough United in December 1976. Ian Ross (born 13 January 1986 in Sheffield) is an English footballer who plays for Belper Town. Playing career Sheffield United Ross started his career as a trainee with Sheffield United. His "Blades" career was limited to just two League Cup games, the first of which was against Boston United in which he scored the winning goal. He had loan spells with Boston United and Bury during the 2005–06 season. Whilst at Boston he was named League Two's ''Player of the Month'' for October. Ian Charles "Roscoe" Ross (24 June 194030 April 2014) was an Australian television news presenter for '' Seven News'' in Sydney and for ''Nine News''. Career Commonly known as "Roscoe", Ross began his career in 1957 at Sydney radio station 2GB. He returned to Sydney as a ''National Nine News'' reporter in 1965. Ross remained at Nine for 38 years, where he was most known for his tenure as '' Today'' news presenter. There, he also presented ''National Nine News'' on many occasions, filling in for presenters who were either on leave or sick.
