Ian Crerar
Ian Stanley Crerar (born June 19, 1965) is a Canadian race and rally car driver, entrepreneur. He began his racing career on the water in power boat racing in the FE class. Subsequently, he pursued motorcycle racing, in both vintage and twins, in 1995 coming in second place in the R.A.C.E. series, and placing eighth at Daytona in the twins class. In 1993 he came second in the VRRA (Vintage Road Racing Association of Canada) 500 cc class. Canadian Rally In 2003 he won the novice class at the Snowy Safari navigational rally in Ontario. Later moving to performance rally in the Canadian Rally Championship, gaining a second place in the P1 class in a Suzuki Swift in the 2005 Rallye Perce Neige in Maniwaki, Quebec. In a 1977 Porsche 911, Ian came second in Group 5 in the Canadian Association of Rally Sport (CARS) series for 2006. Canadian Touring Car Championship
Canadian Touring Car Championship (CTCC) presented by Pirelli is a Canadian professional touring car road racing series. In 2006, it was created based on the growth of amateur touring car racing in Canada and the pent-up demand for a professional product. CTCC is featured in Eastern Canada's main provinces, Ontario and Québec. Race events generally take place in the Greater Toronto Area, in the Greater Ottawa Area, in Mirabel, Montréal and Trois-Rivières. The competitor base expands reach all over Canada, but more specifically in Southern and Eastern Ontario, Québec and the United States. Originally, the CTCC used a domestically developed BoP, but now the series parallels the IMSA SportsCar Challenge in using a combination of Group GT4 and TCR Touring Car regulations and homologations for its racing cars. Andrew Comrie-Picard (born ) is a Canadian race car driver, X Games athlete, stuntman, and TV personality. At age 32, he left his career as an entertainment lawyer in New York City to pursue a career in race driving. He has since competed at the top levels of pro Rallying, rally racing pro Drifting (motorsport), drifting desert off-road racing, short course off-road, hillclimbing, and Endurance racing (motorsport), endurance circuit racing. Other than racing, he has hosted and produced several automotive TV shows, as well as coordinated and driven stunts in feature films and television. Tour De Corse
The Tour de Corse is a rally first held in 1956 on the island of Corsica. It was the French round of the World Rally Championship from the inaugural 1973 season until 2008, was part of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge from 2011 to 2012, and finally returned to WRC in 2015. The name "Tour de Corse" refers to the fact that in the early days it was run around the island; nowadays it only features roads around Ajaccio. The rally is held on asphalt roads, and is known as the "Ten Thousand Turns Rally" because of the twisty mountain roads. Several drivers have been killed during the event, including fatalities at 3 consecutive events.
