I For You
"I for You" is the eleventh single by Japanese rock band Luna Sea, released by Universal on July 1, 1998. It reached number 2 on the Oricon Singles Chart and was the 49th best-selling single of the year. It was the third and last in a serial release after the band's hibernation from 1997 to early 1998. Overview Original scores for "I for You" were composed by guitarist Sugizo as an orchestrated version; although it was first written around 1993, it had not been considered for recording until later, when an opportunity appeared for creating a theme song for a TV drama. The final version of the song was furnished with revisions by vocalist Ryuichi. Sugizo used a 1956 Gibson Les Paul Custom to record the song, and his mother is featured playing the cello. During the recording of "I for You", guitarist hide of X Japan, who was a close friend with members of the band, died. Some of the lyrics are described as a tribute to him by the members. Luna Sea
Luna Sea (stylized as LUNA SEA) is a Japanese Rock music, rock band formed in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1986. Due to the use of makeup and costumes early in their career and their widespread popularity, they are considered one of the most successful and influential bands in the visual kei movement. Throughout the mid-1990s they used significantly less makeup, and after a one-year break in 1997, came back with a more mainstream alternative rock style and toned down their on-stage attire. They disbanded in 2000. In 2003, HMV ranked Luna Sea at number 90 on their list of the 100 most important Japanese pop acts. Megamasso
was a Japanese visual kei rock band. Their sound was lively and upbeat, with a unique mix of punk, piano ballads and pop rock. Formerly signed to NXSIE Records, they are now connected to Avex Group's HPQ label. Since the release of "SWAN SONG", they have switched their label to Timely Records. Biography Megamasso was formed by Ryōhei, ex-guitarist of Ayabie. He recruited members relatively new to music to produce a fresh, new sound. Their first mini-album, ''Namida Neko'', released on December 6, was distributed through LIKE AN EDISON shops in Osaka, Tokyo, and Nagoya. On December 16, Megamasso held their first show at Shibuya O-East, which was then filmed and released on DVD ''Mega-star Tokyo''. Eric Lee Martin (born October 10, 1960) is an American rock singer who was active throughout the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s, both as solo artist and as a member of various bands. He rose to prominence as the frontman for the hard rock band Mr. Big (American band), Mr. Big, which scored a big hit in the early 1990s with "To Be with You", a song that Martin wrote during his teen years.
