Aperture (photography Software)
Aperture was an image organizer developed by Apple for the macOS operating system. It was first released in 2005 and was discontinued in 2015. The software handled a number of tasks common in post-production work such as importing and organizing image files, applying corrective adjustments, displaying slideshows, and printing photographs. Features of Aperture included non-destructive editing; organization of photographs by keyword, faces (using face recognition), and places (using GPS metadata embedded in image files); brushes for applying effects (such as dodge and burn, skin smoothing, and polarization); and exporting to Flickr, Facebook, SmugMug, and iCloud. Red-eye Effect
The red-eye effect in photography is the common appearance of red pupils in color photographs of the eyes of humans and several other animals. It occurs when using a photographic flash that is very close to the camera lens (as with most compact cameras) in ambient low light. Causes In flash photography the light of the flash occurs too fast for the pupil to close, so much of the very bright light from the flash passes into the eye through the pupil, reflects off the fundus at the back of the eyeball and out through the pupil. The camera records this reflected light. The main cause of the red color is the ample amount of blood in the choroid which nourishes the back of the eye and is behind the retina. Raw Image Format
A camera raw image file contains unprocessed or minimally processed data from the image sensor of either a digital camera, a motion picture film scanner, or other image scanner. Raw files are named so because they are not yet processed and therefore are not ready to be printed, viewed or edited with a bitmap graphics editor. Normally, the image is processed by a raw converter in a wide-gamut internal color space where precise adjustments can be made before conversion to a viewable file format such as JPEG or PNG for storage, printing, or further manipulation.
