Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture
Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture ( kk, Іле Қазақ автономиялық облысы) (also as Yili) is an autonomous prefecture for Kazakh people in Northern Xinjiang, China, one of five autonomous prefectures in Xinjiang. Yining City is its capital. It is bordered by Mongolia, Russian Federation and Republic of Kazakhstan on the northeast to southwest, with a boundary line of 2,019 kilometers. Including Khorgas, Bakhty and Jeminay, there are 9 ports of entry at the national level. With the unique location advantage, Ili has been an important commercial hub and international channel of opening up to the west. The autonomous prefecture covers an area of 268,591 square kilometers, accounting for 16.18% of Xinjiang. Ili (singer)
Emily Middlemas (born 26 September 1998), known professionally as ili (stylised in all lowercase), is a Scottish singer-songwriter. In 2016, she finished in fourth place in the thirteenth series of ''The X Factor''. She also competed in the eleventh series of the programme, and reached judges' houses, but failed to reach the live shows. In 2019, she independently released her debut extended play, ''Changes''. Early life Middlemas was born on 26 September 1998, in Glasgow, Scotland, and attended Woodfarm High School. Middlemas auditioned for ''Britain’s Got Talent'' at a young age. The Ili Rebellion () (Üch Wiläyt inqilawi) was a Uyghur separatist movement backed by the Soviet Union against the Kuomintang government of the Republic of China in 1944. After the start of the rebellion, the rebels established the Provisional Government of the Second East Turkestan Republic in 1944. The Ili Rebellion was the start of the East Turkistan National Liberation Revolution, also known as the Three Districts Revolution (), which lasted from 1944 to 1949. Huiyuan Cheng
The town of Huiyuan () is located within Huocheng County, in the Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang, China. Ili Turki is an endangered Turkic language spoken primarily in China. In 2007, it was reported that there were around 30 families using it in China. Classification Ili Turki appears to belong to the Chagatay group of Turkic languages, although it exhibits a number of features that suggest a Kipchak substratum. Shuiding (), formerly Suiding (Suiting) () is a town in the Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, China and the county seat of Huocheng County.
