Republican Road II-54 () is a 2nd class road in northern Bulgaria, running through the territory of Ruse and Veliko Tarnovo Provinces. Its length is 30.6 km. The road starts at Km 53.5 of the first class I-5 road in the town of Byala in Ruse Province and heads north along the left bank of the river Yantra in the central Danubian Plain. After passing through the village of Tsenovo it turns in western direction. Republic road I-5 () is a major road in central Bulgaria. It runs between Danube Bridge, at the Danube border with Romania, and the Makaza pass, at the border crossing to Greece. The total length of the road is . Most of it provides one driving lane per direction. Road I-5 follows European route E85 from Ruse, Bulgaria, Ruse to Haskovo. Byala, Ruse Province
Byala ( ) is a town in Ruse Province, Northern Bulgaria. It is the administrative centre of the homonymous Byala Municipality. The town is located on the crossroad between roads that connect Ruse with Veliko Tarnovo and Pleven with Varna. Close to it is the town of Borovo. Vardim
Vardim () is a village in Svishtov Municipality, Veliko Tarnovo Province, north central Bulgaria, located on the right bank of the Danube river. The village of Vardim is located in the central part of the Danubian plain about 10 km east of Svishtov towards Ruse. The village is believed to date back to the time of the Thracians and Slavs and shows significant remains from subsequent Roman inhabitants, particularly in the nearby Roman town of Novae which has been dated to 45 AD and is considered to be the most examined Roman camp in Bulgaria. Yantra (river)
The Yantra ( ) is a river in northern Bulgaria, a right tributary of the Danube. Reaching a length of 285 km, it is the seventh longest river in Bulgaria and the third longest Bulgarian tributary of the Danube. In the middle and lower course, the Yantra takes many turns forming numerous gorges. It has a high sinuosity index of 3.1, which is characteristic for meandering rivers. Its catchment spans a territory of 7,862 km2 and has a small mean slope value 4.6‰ with a mean altitude of 470 m. Danubian Plain (Bulgaria)
The Danubian Plain () constitutes the northern part of Bulgaria, situated north of the Balkan Mountains and south of the Danube. Its western border is the Timok River, and to the east it borders the Black Sea. The plain has an area of . It is about long and wide. The Danubian Plain is contiguous with the Wallachian Plain (forming the Lower Danubian Plain), but its elevation is slightly higher and the relief is more hilly and rolling, featuring numerous plateaux and river valleys. Tsenovo (, ; also transliterated ''Cenovo'' or ''Tzenovo'') is a village in northeastern Bulgaria, part of Ruse Province. It is the administrative centre of Tsenovo Municipality, which lies in the western part of Ruse Province.
