ICC Women's Cricketer Of The Year
The International Cricket Council (ICC) Women's Cricketer of the Year (known as the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Award since 2017 in memory of pioneering women's cricket player and administrator Rachael Heyhoe Flint) is an award given annually as part of the ICC Awards ceremony. Introduced in 2006, the award adjudges the best-performed female international cricketer across an approximate twelve-month voting period. Prior to 2009, each of the top ten women's national teams nominated two players and the final selection was made by a 16-person panel. Since 2009, a long list has been chosen by the ICC Awards voting panel, consisting of cricket administrators, journalists and former players. A subsequent short list is then created by a different, 25-person, board. Between 2006 and 2011, the award ran as a single category, known as the Women's Player of the Year. Between 2009 and 2014 the awards were known as the LG ICC Awards for sponsorship reasons. Anjum Chopra
Anjum Chopra (born 20 May 1977) is an Indian cricket commentator and former cricketer. She represented India in over 150 international matches across formats over 18 years. Chopra was the first woman to reach 1,000 ODI runs for India. Since retirement, Chopra has worked as an English-language commentator covering professional cricket such as the Indian Premier League. She played various sports at an early age, representing her school and college in athletics, basketball, and swimming. Gaby Hollis Lewis (born 27 March 2001) is an Irish international cricketer and captain of the Ireland women's team. She made her senior international debut in July 2014, aged only 13 and made her Twenty20 International (T20I) debut later in the same year, becoming the youngest to play at that level. Lydia Sophie Greenway (born 6 August 1985) is an English cricket commentator and former cricketer who played as a left-handed batter and occasional right-arm off break bowler. Shelley Nitschke (born 3 December 1976) is a female cricketer who played for South Australia and Australia. A left-handed batter and left arm orthodox spinner, she was one of the leading all-rounders in the world until her retirement in 2011.
