Core I3
Intel Core is a line of multi-core (with the exception of Core Solo and Core 2 Solo) central processing units (CPUs) for midrange, embedded, workstation, high-end and enthusiast computer markets marketed by Intel Corporation. These processors displaced the existing mid- to high-end Pentium processors at the time of their introduction, moving the Pentium to the entry level. Identical or more capable versions of Core processors are also sold as Xeon processors for the server and workstation markets. Core was launched in January 2006 as a mobile-only series, consisting of single- and dual-core models. It was then succeeded later in July by the Core 2 series, which included both desktop and mobile processors with up to four cores, and introduced 64-bit support. Since 2008, Intel began introducing the Core i3, Core i5, Core i7 and Core i9 lineup of processors, succeeding Core 2. A new naming scheme debuted in 2023, consisting of Core 3, Core 5, and Core 7 for mainstream processo ...

Mikoyan-Gurevich I-3
The Mikoyan-Gurevich I-3 was the first of three interrelated fighter prototype programs developed by the Mikoyan-Gurevich design bureau in the Soviet Union in the mid/late 1950s – starting with the I-3, continuing with the I-7 and finally evolving into the I-75. On several occasions airframes were rebuilt and/or reused, both within a program or in a succeeding program. All the aircraft in the I-3 program were affected by delays in the development of the Klimov VK-3 afterburning bypass turbojet engine, and its cancellation and replacement by the Lyulka AL-7F turbojet engine. Design and development Both the I-3 and I-3P were ordered by the Council of Ministers on June 3, 1953 – the I-3 as a frontline fighter and the I-3P as an all-weather interceptor. They were developed in parallel with the I-1/2 program but had nothing in common with it except a similar wing. On the other hand, the I-3's visual appearance was so similar to the Sukhoi S-1 (the Su-7 prototype) that a comm ...

Type J1 Submarine
The , also called were large cruiser submarines (Junsen type submarines) of the Imperial Japanese Navy. Four boats were built between 1926 and 1929. These boats, based on the KD2 and U-139 designs, were of a junsen, or cruiser, type with an impressive range of 24,000 nm. Elderly by 1941 they were among the first Japanese submarines converted to supply duty. * was present during the attack on Pearl Harbor and witnessed the Doolittle raid on Tokyo, before patrolling the Aleutians. Her aft 14 cm gun was then removed to make room for a daihatsu cargo barge and she started shifting supplies in the Solomon Islands. On 29 January 1943, the New Zealand naval trawlers, ''Kiwi'' and ''Moa'' rammed and wrecked her in shallow water at Kamimbo Bay, Guadalcanal. Critical codes remained on board and the Japanese command tried unsuccessfully to destroy the boat with submarine and airplane attacks. The US Navy salvaged 200,000 pages of intelligence: code books, charts, manuals, ...

LB&SCR I3 Class
The LB&SCR I3 class was a class of 4-4-2 steam Steam is water vapor, often mixed with air or an aerosol of liquid water droplets. This may occur due to evaporation or due to boiling, where heat is applied until water reaches the enthalpy of vaporization. Saturated or superheated steam is inv ... tank locomotives designed by D. E. Marsh for suburban passenger service on the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway. History After introducing two unsuccessful designs of 4-4-2 tank locomotive with the LB&SCR I1 class, I1 and LB&SCR I2 class, I2 classes, D. E. Marsh, Douglas Earle Marsh learned a lesson and provided a new design with a far larger firebox. The new design was a tank version of R. J. Billinton, Robert Billinton's successful LB&SCR B4 class, B4 class tender locomotives. At the time of its introduction locomotive engineers were beginning to take an interest in superheater, superheating and Marsh therefore ordered two locomotives from Brighton railway works for compa ...

I3 (window Manager)
i3 is a tiling window manager designed for X11, inspired by wmii and written in C. It supports tiling, stacking, and tabbing layouts, which are handled manually. Its configuration is achieved via a plain text file and extending i3 is possible using its Unix domain socket and JSON based IPC interface from many programming languages. Like wmii, i3 uses a control system very similar to that of vi and Vim. By default, window focus is controlled by what the documentation refers to as the 'Mod1' key (Alt key/Windows key) in addition to the right-hand home row keys (Mod1+J,K,L,Semicolon), while window movement is controlled by the addition of the Shift key (Mod1+Shift+J,K,L,Semicolon). Design goals i3's primary design goals are to possess well-written, documented code that encourages user contribution; to use XCB instead of Xlib; to implement multi-monitor features correctly, so that each workspace is assigned to a virtual screen, and monitor additions and removals are non-de ...

Inline-triple Engine
A straight-three engine (also called an inline-triple or inline-three) is a three-cylinder piston engine where cylinders are arranged in a line along a common crankshaft. Less common than straight-four engine, straight-three engines have nonetheless been used in various motorcycles, cars and agricultural machinery. Design A crankshaft angle of 120 degrees is typically used by straight-three engines, since this results in an evenly spaced firing interval. Another benefit of this configuration is perfect primary balance and secondary balance, however an end-to-end rocking couple is induced because there is no symmetry in the piston velocities about the middle piston. A balance shaft is sometimes used to reduce the vibrations caused by the rocking couple. Other crankshaft angles have been used occasionally. The 1976–1981 Laverda Jota motorcycle used a 180 degree crankshaft, where the outer pistons rise and fall together and inner cylinder is offset from them by 180 degrees. Th ...
