"Hummingbird" is a popular song written by Don Robertson released in 1955. The best-known version of the song was the recording by Les Paul and Mary Ford (recorded July 9, 1955; Capitol Records catalog number 3165). This version reached #7 on the Billboard chart. Don Robertson (songwriter)
Donald Irwin Robertson (December 5, 1922 – March 16, 2015) was an American songwriter and pianist, mostly in the country and popular music genres. He was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1972. As a performer, he hit the US Top 10 with " The Happy Whistler" in 1956 (Peaking at 6th). The track reached No. 8 in the UK Singles Chart the same year. It sold over one million copies, and was awarded a gold disc. Although contracted to Capitol at the time of his biggest selling hit single, Robertson subsequently signed a recording contract with RCA Victor. He composed or co-composed with Hal Blair ''(né'' Harold Keller Brown; 1915–2001), many hits for other musicians, including Elvis Presley, who recorded over a dozen of Robertson's songs, five of which appeared in Presley's numerous films. ''Mad Dogs & Englishmen'' is a live album by Joe Cocker, released in 1970. The album's title is drawn from the 1931 Noël Coward Mad Dogs and Englishmen (song), song of the same name and Leon Russell's "Ballad of Mad Dogs and Englishmen". Only four songs of the 16 on the original album were drawn from his first two studio albums. Besides the contributions of bandmate and musical director Leon Russell, it draws equally from rock (the Rolling Stones, Traffic (band), Traffic, Bob Dylan, the Beatles) and soul (Ray Charles, Sam & Dave, Otis Redding). Accompanying Cocker is a choir, a three-piece brass instrument, horn section and several drummers. ''A Ghost Is Born'' is the fifth studio album by American alternative rock band Wilco. Released on June 22, 2004, it features singer Jeff Tweedy on lead guitar more than any previous Wilco album. The band streamed the album online free, and offered a five-song EP to purchasers. Tweedy entered a rehab clinic shortly before the release of the album, delaying its release by two weeks. It also shortened its promotional tour. Jeffrey Scot Tweedy (born August 25, 1967) is an American musician, songwriter, author, and record producer best known as the singer and guitarist of the band Wilco. Tweedy, originally from Belleville, Illinois, started his music career in high school in his band The Plebes with Jay Farrar, which subsequently transitioned into the alternative country band Uncle Tupelo. ''Outrider'' is an album by Jimmy Page, released by Geffen Records on 19 June 1988. It is his first solo studio album (and his only one as of 2022) and the first time since 1969 he has recorded with a record label other than Atlantic Records/Swan Song Records. Page recorded the music at his personal studio The Sol. Robert Plant guests on one track, "The Only One", while John Bonham's son Jason plays drums. This was originally intended to be a two album release.
