Hong Kong Bus Route Numbering
In Hong Kong, public bus, public light bus (also known as green minibus) and residential bus routes bear their own route numbers. Public buses The numbering systems of public buses can be classified into ''Hong Kong Island routes'', ''Kowloon and New Territories routes'', ''Lantau Island (New Lantao Bus) routes'', ''MTR Bus routes'', c''ross-Harbour routes'' and ''Hong Kong International Airport, Airport and North Lantau external bus routes''. Their route numbering systems are independent. For example, there are both route 1, and route 2 on Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and Lantau Island respectively. In the past, the air-conditioned bus routes were numbered as 200's (Kowloon and New Territories) and 500's (Hong Kong Island). However, this identification became void after they phased out all the non-aircon buses; since then, bus routes have used the old numbers. The Eastern Harbour Crossing (), abbreviated as "EHC" () is a combined road-rail tunnel that crosses beneath Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong. Opened on 21 September 1989, it is the second harbour-crossing tunnel built and the longest amongst the three. It connects Quarry Bay on Hong Kong Island and Cha Kwo Ling in East Kowloon, Kowloon East. Long Win Bus Company Limited (LWB; ) is a bus company operating franchised services in Hong Kong. It provides bus service between Hong Kong International Airport, North Lantau New Town and the New Territories. It is a subsidiary of Transport International. History Long Win Bus began operations on 22 May 1997, operating peak-hour services after the opening of the Tsing Ma Bridge. The first route operated by Long Win Bus was route E31 ( Tung Chung to Tsuen Wan Pier when newly introduced), served by Volvo Olympians. Citybus Limited () is a bus company which provides both franchised and non-franchised service in Hong Kong. The Kowloon Motor Bus Company (1933) Limited (KMB) is a bus company operating Bus services in Hong Kong, franchised services in Hong Kong. Airport Express (MTR)
The Airport Express ( zh, t=機場快綫) is one of the ten rail lines of the Hong Kong MTR system (excluding the light rail network). It links the urban area with Hong Kong International Airport and the AsiaWorld–Expo exhibition and convention centre. It is the only rail link to the airport. It runs parallel to the Tung Chung line, a rapid transit line, from Hong Kong station to just south of the channel between Lantau Island and Chek Lap Kok island, on which the airport was constructed. The line continues to the airport and terminates at AsiaWorld–Expo. The Tung Chung line terminates in the adjacent Tung Chung new town, with bus service to various areas at the airport, including the passenger terminals. Heung Yuen Wai Control Point () is a land border control point at the border at Heung Yuen Wai in North District, New Territories, Hong Kong. Its counterpart across the border is Liantang Port () in Shenzhen, Guangdong. The control point opened for freight trucks on 26 August 2020 and to passengers since 6 February 2023. Shenzhen Bay Control Point
Shenzhen Bay Port () is a juxtaposed border crossing and a port of entry and exit between mainland China and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, located geographically in Dongjiaotou, Shekou, which lies on the southwestern corner of the city of Shenzhen in Guangdong Province.
