''Honesty and Glory'' (Hungarian: ''Becsület és dicsöség'') is a 1951 Hungarian musical film, musical comedy drama film directed by Viktor Gertler and starring János Görbe, Mária Sulyok and Hilda Gobbi.Liehm & Liehm p.152 It was shot at the Hunnia Studios in Budapest. The film's sets were designed by the art director József Pán. Mari Szemes
Mari Szemes (7 May 1932 – 10 December 1988) was a Hungarian actress. Of Hungarian ethnicity, she was born in Czechoslovakia. She acted at various venues through Hungary, including the National Theatre in Budapest. She was awarded with the Kossuth Prize for her stage acting. János Pásztor (actor)
János Pásztor (1881–1945) was a renowned Hungarian academic sculptor in the first decades of the 20th century. Early life Pásztor learned sculptural arts in the School of Arts and Crafts (''Iparművészeti Iskola'', today Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design) in Budapest. He was a pupil of Lajos Mátrai. His first works were the side figures of the Pál Vásárhelyi Monument in Szeged. In 1903 he got a fellowship in Paris. In 1905 Pásztor settled down in Hódmezővásárhely but five years later he moved to Budapest. He became a renowned artist with popular exhibitions in 1911, 1918, 1925 and 1930. In 1929 he won the Grand Prix of the World's Fair in Barcelona. He was killed at the end of World War II during the bombardment of Budapest. Gyula Gózon
Gyula Gózon (19 April 1885 – 8 October 1972) was a Hungarian actor and comedian. Life Gyula Gózon was born on 19 April 1885, in Érsekújvár, but grew up in Esztergom. With the mentoring of his brother, he could fulfill his dream of learning to be a singer actor at the actor school of Szidi Rákosi in Budapest. After graduating, he joins a group touring the southern part of the country, often working under harsh conditions, changing location and repertory often. During this period he has the chance to polish his prosaic capabilities, one that was omitted in Rákosi's school. After playing in Târgu Mureş and Miercurea Ciuc, he gains the attention of Miklós Erdélyi, the director of Oradea's theater, who offers him contract in 1904. He plays here for six years, and befriends Gyula Kabos, forming a lifelong comradeship, and comedic duo.
