Holt is a market town and civil parish in the county of Norfolk, England. The town is north of the city of Norwich, west of Cromer and east of King's Lynn. The town has a population of 3,550, rising and including the ward to 3,810 at the 2011 census. Holt is within the area covered by North Norfolk District Council. Holt has a heritage railway station; it is the south-western terminus of the preserved North Norfolk Railway, known as the ''Poppy Line''. Holt, Aust-Agder
Holt is a former municipality in the old Aust-Agder county in Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1960 when it was merged into the present-day municipality of Tvedestrand which is now in Agder county. The administrative centre of Holt was located just south of the village of Fiane where Holt Church is located. Holt Church probably dates from the twelfth century and has an ancient baptismal font. The interior was decorated by Torsten Hoff. The Nordkalottruta trail runs through the Holt area in Tvedestrand. History The parish of Holt was established as a civil municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt law). According to the 1835 census, the municipality had a population of 3,116. Holt (North Norfolk Railway) Railway Station
Holt railway station, opened in 1987, is the current terminus of the North Norfolk Railway and is a new-build station half a mile south of the proposed, but never built, Blakeney branch junction. The station building once belonged to Stalham railway station, but was moved and reconstructed on site. The current station is located just under a mile away from the site of the original Holt railway station, which had been closed in 1964 by British Railways. William Marriott Museum The William Marriott Museum is located in the goods shed at the station. Operated by the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway Society, the museum features railroad artefacts and memorabilia, as well as historic buildings, locomotives, rolling stock and a historic signalling system. Holt is a city in Clay and Clinton counties in the U.S. state of Missouri and is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. The population was 471 at the 2020 census. The CDP is located within Delhi Charter Township and occupies a majority of the township.
