Hiroshi Oguchi
was born in Kawaguchi, Japan, on November 28, 1950. He died on January 25, 2009, in Tokyo, Japan, of cancer. A Tokyo-based conceptual artist, musician and scene maker, Hiroshi Oguchi had for decades been influential in the changing attitudes of Japan's youth. As a drummer, he was in the bands The Tempters, PYG (band), Pyg, and Vodka Collins (band), Vodka Collins, recording many albums. He also owned and ran his own fashion company, Practice of Silence. Oguchi was also an actor in a number of films, including ''Strange Circus'' (2006), ''Freesia :Icy Tears'' (2006),''The Sinking Of Japan'' (2006) and ''Silk'' (2007). He was married to the popular actress Kimie Shingyoji; they had one son, Gento Oguchi, who is a musician and artist. The Tempters
The Tempters were part of Japan's Group Sounds pop music era in the 1960s. Featuring lead singing, vocalist Kenichi Hagiwara, who was also known by the nickname of Shoken, they rivaled The Tigers (Japanese band), The Tigers for the top spot in the Japan rock music, rock scene hierarchy. The musical ensemble, band also featured drummer Hiroshi Oguchi, who later formed the glam rock band Vodka Collins (band), Vodka Collins. Band members- Keizo "Kenichi" Hagiwara (vocals, harmonica), Yoshiharu Matsuzaki (lead guitar, vocals), Toshio Tanaka (rhythm guitar, organ), Takaku Noburo (bass), Hiroshi Oguchi (drums). "Emerald - No Densetsu" ("Legend of the Emerald"), was released by the band in July 1968 and was chart-topper, number one for two weeks in Japan, and in the Top 40, Top 10 for 13 weeks, selling over one million copies. Vodka Collins (band)
Vodka Collins was a Tokyo-based Japanese-American rock band, formed in 1971. The core band members were drummer Hiroshi Oguchi (formerly of The Tempters), singer-guitarist Alan Merrill, singer-guitarist Hiroshi "Monsieur" Kamayatsu (formerly of The Spiders) and bassist Take Yokouchi (formerly of the Four Leaves touring band, High Society). In later reunion recordings in the 1990s, Yokouchi was replaced by Masayoshi "Louis" Kabe (formerly of The Golden Cups) on bass guitar. Most of the band's released works were original compositions by the lead singer Alan Merrill. Strange Circus
is a 2005 Japanese Horror film, horror drama film written and directed by Sion Sono. A narrated fiction presents the story of school principal Ozawa Gozo, who rapes his daughter, Mitsuko, after she sees her parents having sex. Her mother Sayuri witnesses the rape. Gozo now rapes both of them as he pleases, while his family is undermined by incest, suicide, and murder. This narrative is contained within a frame story written by wheelchair-using novelist Taeko. Kimie Shingyoji
is an actress and model in Japan. She has appeared in films ''Eureka'', ''Station To Heaven'', ''Natsumeke No Shokutaku'', and ''Shark Skin Man and Peach Hip Girl''. In the 1980s she married Hiroshi Oguchi, a Tokyo scene celebrity, and drummer of bands The Tempters and Vodka Collins.
