Deena Hinshaw
Deena Hinshaw is a Canadian doctor who serves as a Deputy Provincial Health Officer for British Columbia and served as Chief Medical Officer of Health for the province of Alberta from January 28, 2019, to November 14, 2022, after being removed by Danielle Smith. She provided daily updates on the COVID-19 pandemic in Alberta to the public throughout most of 2020 and into 2021, though she stopped holding regular briefings in at the end of June 2021. She also provided recommendations to Jason Kenney, the former Premier of Alberta and the Emergency Management Cabinet Committee. Ashley Grace (née Hinshaw) (born December 11, 1988) is an American actress. She is known for her leading role in the 2012 film ''About Cherry'', and for her role in the 2016 Crackle television series ''StartUp''. Early life Ashley Hinshaw was born in La Porte, Indiana to Chris and Craig Hinshaw. Since the age of nine, she auditioned and participated in several children's plays and youth theatre. Hinshaw began modeling in her local hometown pageant (Miss Maple City Pageant and Talent Competition) at the age of 13, where she won in beauty and photogenic for 13- to 16-year-olds and talent for 8- to 14-year-olds. Alexander "Alex" Omar Hinshaw (born October 31, 1982) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He graduated from Claremont High School and attended Chaffey College and San Diego State University. He played in Major League Baseball for the San Francisco Giants, San Diego Padres and Chicago Cubs from 2008 to 2012. Andrew Jackson Hinshaw (August 4, 1923 – January 21, 2016) was an American politician who served as a Congressman for California between 1973 and 1977. In 1977 he was convicted of accepting bribes from the Tandy Corporation in his previous job as Orange County, California, assessor. Biography Hinshaw was born in Dexter, Missouri, and attended public schools in Michigan and Los Angeles, California. He was in the Navy in World War II from 1942 to 1945. He received a B.S. degree from the University of Southern California in 1950 and attended the USC Law School. Political career Hinshaw worked for 10 years for the California State Board of Equalization and five years for the Los Angeles County Assessor's Office. Edmund Howard Hinshaw
Edmund Howard Hinshaw (December 8, 1860 – June 15, 1932) was an American Republican Party politician. Born in Greensboro, Indiana on December 8, 1860, he graduated from Butler College in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1885. He moved to Fairbury, Nebraska in 1887 and was superintendent of the public schools until 1888 while he studied law. He passed the bar and started practicing in Fairbury. He became a city clerk in 1889 and attorney for Fairbury in 1890. He was an attorney for Jefferson County from 1895 to 1899. He ran and lost for a house seat in the 56th congress in 1898 and ran and lost for the United States Senate in 1901. He ran and won a House seat as a Republican to the 58th and the three succeeding Congresses (March 4, 1903 – March 3, 1911). Hinshaw's was an American two-location department store chain in Southern California that was in business between 1951 and 1992. Founder Hinshaw's was founded by Ezra Bushong Hinshaw, who was born April 4, 1899, in Windsor, North Carolina, and raised in Boise, Idaho. He was raised in the Quaker faith. Prior to opening his own store he had been a manager of a Montgomery Ward store and, after relocating to California, became the president of the C.C. Anderson Department Store, a local company in Whittier, California, Whittier. Locations The first Hinshaw's location was on the southwest corner of Baldwin Avenue and Duarte in the Arcadia Hub shopping area of Arcadia, California.
