Hillsong Musicians
Hillsong Church has produced hundreds of Christian music, Christian songs on albums since 1992 on more than fifty albums, mostly under their own label, Hillsong Music. This is a list of Hillsong's notable worship leaders and musicians who have written, sung, and/or played instruments on one or more albums. Current worship leaders Taya Smith Smith has been at Hillsong since the late 2000s to early 2010s. She started on Hillsong's youth band Hillsong Young & Free then she went on to sing on some Hillsong United albums and some Hillsong Worship albums. As of September 2023 Taya is no longer a member of Hillsong church. Reuben Morgan Morgan serves as Hillsong's worship pastor, replacing Darlene Zschech in 2008. Hillsong Music is Christian music produced by Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia as well as offshoot churches, Hillsong London, and Hillsong Kyiv. Hillsong Young & Free (also known as Hillsong Y&F or simply Young & Free or Y&F) is an Australian contemporary worship music and Christian EDM group from Sydney, Australia, where they started making Christian music in 2012 at Hillsong Church. Hillsong United (stylised as Hillsong UNITED or UNITED) is a contemporary worship collective originating from Hillsong Church. Since forming in 1998 out of the church's youth ministry, the group has released fifteen live albums and six studio albums. Band members are involved in Hillsong Church services and also play for the church. The band has toured in a number of countries, leading worship in various places and has an international influence. History Originally called United Live, Hillsong United was formed in 1998, originating from the youth ministry of Hillsong Church called Powerhouse Youth. Marty Sampson
Martin W "Marty" Sampson (born 31 May 1979) is an Australian singer-songwriter, musician and former worship leader at the Hillsong Church in Sydney. From the late 1990s until 2019 he featured on the United Live albums and was one of the original Hillsong United band's worship leaders. Sampson's main instrument is the guitar although he also plays the piano, flute and drums. Aside from work for Youth Alive and Hillsong United, Sampson has issued solo albums. Biography Sampson was born on 31 May 1979 and became a member of the Hillsong Church in Sydney. Reuben Morgan
Reuben Timothy Morgan (born 9 August 1975) is an Australian worship pastor at Hillsong Church and one of several worship leaders and songwriters in Hillsong Worship group. Prior to this he was a worship pastor at Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia. He has written songs such as "Eagles Wings", "Hear Our Praises", " I Give You My Heart", "My Redeemer Lives" and " Mighty to Save", which won the Worship Song of the Year at the 40th GMA Dove Awards. Darlene Zschech
Darlene Joyce Zschech (; Steinhardt; 8 September 1965) is an Australian Pentecostal Christian worship leader and singer who primarily writes praise and worship songs. Described as a pioneer of the modern worship movement, she is the former worship pastor of Hillsong Church. Zschech is currently a contributing songwriter with CompassionArt, a charity founded by Christian songwriter Martin Smith. Along with her husband, Zschech is the lead pastor of Hope Unlimited Church in New South Wales. Hillsong Conference
Hillsong Conference is a mid-year week-long annual Christian conference hosted in Sydney, Australia, with a smaller three-day event held in London later each year. It is the largest annual conference in Australia of any kind. The event is hosted by Hillsong Church at their convention center in Norwest, New South Wales, Norwest. Hillsong Conference grew from 150 people at the first conference in 1986 to upwards of 30,000 people each year in Sydney. It brings in over $28 million to the New South Wales tourism sector, annually.
