Highfields School, Matlock
Highfields School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in Matlock, Derbyshire, England. At the time of its September 2012 Ofsted inspection, the school had 1175 pupils (male and female) on roll aged 11–18, with 215 in the sixth form. It is split across two sites in the town 1.8 miles apart. History Highfields was created in 1982 as a comprehensive school by the merger of Ernest Bailey's Grammar School and Charles White Secondary Modern School. The site of Charles White in Starkholmes became the 'lower site' of Highfields, while Bailey's was converted to the county council records offices. Highfields School, Wolverhampton
Highfields School is a mixed secondary school and sixth form located in the Penn area of Wolverhampton, in the West Midlands of England. It was formed in 1957 and accommodates over 1,500 pupils. There is an environmental centre at the back of the school, which as well as lessons, holds many meetings and gatherings for astronomy or the council. The school was re-built as part of a BSF project and the previous building was demolished. Construction commenced in 2010 and the build was completed in 2012, with landscaping finished in 2013. Highfields remained unaffected by the government revamp of schools rebuilds. The school finished a week early for the six weeks holiday and staggered the pupils back into the new school, starting sixth form down to year 7. Upon moving into the new school the uniform was redesigned. With the move into the new establishment the school changed its title from 'Highfields Science Specialist School' to 'Highfields School'. The Highfield School teaches from Year 7 through to Year 12 or 13 The school is part of the Letchworth Sixth Form Consortium with Fearnhill School. There are six houses: Alan Turing, Martin Luther King, Mary Seacole, Rosalind Franklin, Charlotte Bronte and Steven Hawking.
