Hermine Körner
Hermine Körner (30 May 1878 in Berlin - 14 December 1960) was a German actress, director and theater manager. Early life Körner was the fifth child of teacher and zoologist William Stader and Emilie Luyken. The father departed in 1880 on a lecture tour in the U.S. from which he did not return, he died on 28 February 1888 in Reading. The widowed mother moved with her five children from Berlin to her parents' house in Altenkirchen (Westerwald), where Körner spent her childhood. She studied piano at the Wiesbaden Conservatory from 1896 under Max Reger. Career In Wiesbaden, she discovered her passion for the theater, which she shared with her lover, the Austrian officer Franz Ferdinand Körner. She married Körner on 23 December 1897. Hermine Kittel (December 2, 1879 – April 7, 1948) was an Austrian contralto from Vienna. She studied singing with Amalie Materna in Vienna. She made her operatic debut in 1897 in Ljubljana. Kittel first sang under Gustav Mahler at the Vienna Hofoper (Vienna State Opera) and later premiered in a revision of '' Ariadne auf Naxos''. She sang at the Bayreuth Festival in 1902 and 1908, where she sang Erda in ''Der Ring des Nibelungen''. She also sang at the Salzburg Festival, where she often played Marcellina in ''The Marriage of Figaro''. She was married to opera singer Alexander Haydter. Her brother Karl Kittel was a conductor. Hermine Agavni Kalustyan (, 1914 – 3 September 1989) was a Turkish-Armenian mathematician, educator, and politician. Early life and education Kalustyan was born in 1914 in Istanbul, Turkey. She graduated from Paris High School Teacher Training School and from Istanbul University Mathematics Department. From 1932 to 1936, she was at Ecole Normale Superieure to study math. Hermine Huntgeburth (born 13 November 1957) is a German film director producer and university lecturer. She is best known for her 2005 film '' The White Masai''. Background Huntgeburth grew up in a Catholic family of doctors with nine siblings in Paderborn. In 1977, she began studying film at the University of Fine Arts of Hamburg under Rüdiger Neumann. In 1983, she was awarded a DAAD scholarship and studied film in Sydney. During her studies, she worked on various screenplays, assisted in theatre direction, worked as a cinematographer and film technician. Hermine Hug-Hellmuth (born Hermine Hug Edle von Hugenstein; 31 August 1871, Vienna – 9 September 1924, Vienna) was an Austrian psychoanalyst. She is regarded as the first psychoanalyst practicing with children and the first to conceptualize the technique of psychoanalysing children. Her book, ''A Young Girl's Diary'' (1921), published in New York by Thomas Seltzer (translator), Thomas Seltzer, was prefaced with an endorsement from Sigmund Freud dated 27 April 1915. Hug-Hellmuth denied authorship, however, and published the diary under the pseudonym Grete Lainer. In 1923 Hug-Hellmuth ultimately accepted title of editor for the diary in the third German edition. Hermine Ida Auguste Hartleben (2 June 1846 – 18 July 1919) was a German Egyptologist. She was the daughter of a forest officer in Altenau. Later, she studied in Hanover and became a teacher. She studied Greek archaeology at the Sorbonne, taught in a Greek school in Istanbul, and taught French to the children of a pasha in Egypt.
