Hermie Hopperhead
is a video game developed by Yuke's and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation. It was released in Japan in September 1995. Gameplay The game features extensive use of parallax scrolling. The player can collect stars throughout the level. These stars act as the life meter (somewhat like ''Sonic the Hedgehog''). After 100 stars have been collected, they can be used to hatch eggs. Eggs turn into animal assistants such as chickens, dragons, penguins or turtles. Different colored eggs will turn into different animals. These assistants can aid the player by shooting, or flying, and the player can have a maximum of three animal assistants at any time. Yuke's Co. Ltd. is a Japanese video game developer based in Osaka. It was established on 26 February 1993 by Yukinori Taniguchi. The company is best known for developing the '' WWE'' video game series, based on the professional wrestling promotion of the same name, until 2018. History Founded in 1993, Yuke's was named after founder Yukinori Taniguchi's high school nickname. The first two games that the company developed were the platform game '' Hermie Hopperhead'' and the pro wrestling game '' Toukon Retsuden''. The latter title was a best-seller in Japan. Paragon Publishing Ltd (or Paragon for short) was a magazine publisher in the UK, which published computer games and other entertainment titles from 1991 to 2003. Brief history Paragon Publishing Ltd was formed in a small office in Trowbridge, Wiltshire by ex-Future Publishing staff Richard Monteiro and Diane Tavener. With a small team of staff they began work on their first publication '' Sega Pro''. With the success of ''Sega Pro'' the company began expanding and launched several other titles, hiring more staff to produce these new titles.
