Henry Chester Waite
Henry Chester Waite (June 30, 1830 – November 15, 1912) was an American lawyer, banker, and politician. Waite was born in Rensselaerville, New York. He graduated from Union College in Schenectady, New York in 1851 and was admitted to the New York bar in 1853. Waite moved to St. Cloud, Minnesota in 1855 and continued to practiced law and was involved with the banking business. He served in the Minnesota Democratic Constitutional Convention of 1857. Waite served in the Minnesota House of Representatives in 1863 and in the Minnesota Senate in 1870 and 1871 and from 1883 to 1886. He served as the Register of the United States Land Office from 1865 to 1869. He died at his farm near St. Cloud, Minnesota. Henry Matson Waite (engineer)
Colonel Henry Matson Waite (May 15, 1869 – September 2, 1944) was an engineer and the City Manager of Dayton, Ohio starting in 1913. He was the deputy administrator for the Public Works Administration from 1933 until September 1, 1935. Biography He was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 15, 1869. He was the son of Henry Seldon Waite, the grandson of Morrison Waite, the Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court and the great-grandson of his namesake, Connecticut judge and politician Henry Matson Waite. He graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1890 then worked in railroad engineering and in coal mining. He then served as the city engineer for Cincinnati, Ohio from 1911 to 1913. He was then elected as the first city manager of Dayton, Ohio in 1913 where he served a four-year term. He died on September 2, 1944. Henry Matson Waite (born Lyme, Connecticut, Lyme, Connecticut, February 9, 1787; died in Lyme December 14, 1869) was a lawyer, judge, and chief justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court. Biography From an old New England family, Waite was the son of Susanna (Matson) and Remick Waite. He was educated at Bacon Academy in Colchester, Connecticut, Colchester and at Yale University, Yale College, graduating from there in 1809. After several years of teaching school and studying law, he was admitted to the bar in 1812. Waite represented Lyme in the Connecticut General Assembly in 1815 and 1826 and was elected to the Connecticut State Senate in 1830 and 1831. He was a member of the Federalist Party for as long as that party existed, and maintained similar political views for the rest of his life. In 1834, Waite became an associate justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court (then called the "Supreme Court of Errors") and was chosen as chief justice in 1854. He retired on February 9, 1857 at ...

Henry Randall Waite (Copenhagen, New York, 16 December 1845 – East Orange, New Jersey, 8 May 1909) was a United States editor and clergyman. Biography He graduated from Hamilton College in 1868, and then was engaged in journalism until 1870. He then studied theology in the Union Theological Seminary, New York, where he edited the ''University Quarterly Review''. He was pastor of the American church in Rome 1871–74, on the staff of the New Haven ''Journal'' 1875, editor of the ''International Review'' 1876–77, and until 1880 pastor of a Presbyterian church in Pelham, New York. In 1891 he became acting pastor of a Congregational church in Brooklyn. Waite organized the National Reform League in 1876.
