Outwood Academy Hemsworth, known previously as Hemsworth Arts and Community Academy and Hemsworth Arts and Community College, is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form located in Hemsworth in the City of Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England. The school is operated by Outwood Grange Academies Trust, and the principal is Toby Rutter. History The school was opened in 1921, set up by the West Riding County Council's Education Committee and was known as Hemsworth Grammar School. (It is not to be confused with Archbishop Holgate's grammar school, founded in Hemsworth in 1546, which moved to Barnsley in 1888.) The ''ITV Evening News'' is the evening news programme produced by ITN on the British television network ITV. It airs Monday to Friday from 6:30pm usually until 7.30pm (since March 2022) though the finishing time of the bulletin can occasionally be brought forward to 7pm in cases of coverage by ITV Sport or other special programmes airing on ITV. Leonard Parkin
Leonard Parkin (2 June 1929 – 20 September 1993) was an English television journalist and newsreader for the BBC and ITN. He began his career as a reporter for local newspapers in Yorkshire before moving to London to work for BBC Radio Newsreel and TV News. Parkin became the BBC's Canadian correspondent in 1960, and three years later was promoted to Washington correspondent. In 1965, he was a reporter on the BBC's current affairs programme ''Panorama'', leaving in 1966 when he was injured in a car accident. In 1967, he joined ITN and became a newsreader on its half-hour '' News at Ten'' bulletin. Jeffrey Ennis (born 13 November 1952) is a British Labour Party politician, who was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Barnsley East and Mexborough from 1996 to 2010, having been first elected at the Barnsley East by-election in 1996. Phil Bull (9 April 1910 – 11 June 1989), born West Yorkshire, England, was a professional gambler, racehorse owner and publisher, who founded the Timeform private handicapping system for British horseracing. Sir Derek Sydney Birley (31 May 1926 – 14 May 2002) was a distinguished English educationalist and a prize-winning writer on the social history of sport, particularly cricket.
