He Ping (; born November 1957) is a general of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA). He served as the political commissar of the Eastern Theater Command from 2017 to 2023. Biography He Ping was born in November 1957 in Nanchong, Sichuan Province. He spent most of his career in the former Chengdu Military Region. In 2008 he was appointed Director of the Political Department of the 14th Group Army, and attained the rank of major general the next year. He became Deputy Political Commissar of the 14th Army in 2011, and deputy director of the Political Department of the Chengdu MR and Political Commissar of the Joint Logistics Department of the Chengdu MR in 2013. In July 2014 he was appointed Political Commissar of the Intelligence Department of the former PLA General Staff Department. He Ping (; 7 May 1957 – 10 January 2023) was a Chinese film director, screenwriter, and producer born in Shanxi whose main filmography consists of a hybrid genre of Western (genre), Western-wuxia movies. He made three movies along this genre - ''Swordsmen in Double Flag Town'' (1991), ''Sun Valley (film), Sun Valley'' (1995) and ''Warriors of Heaven and Earth'' (2004). Personal life and background He Ping's mother, Yuan Yuehua (袁月华), was an accomplished director and the female lead in ''Bridge (1949 film), Bridge'' (1949), the first feature film produced after the founding of the People's Republic of China. Ho Ping
Ho Ping (; born 1958) is a Taiwanese film director. Born in Hsinchu, Taiwan, he studied chemical engineering at Tunghai University before moving to the United States to earn an MFA from Syracuse University. Upon graduation, Ho returned to Taiwan in 1987 and released his directorial debut, ''The Digger'' (''Yin jian xiang ma'') (1988). The next year, he won the Special Jury Prize at the 25th Golden Horse Awards with ''The Suona Player'' (''Chui gu chui'', also known as ''For whom the Suona Blows''). Both ''The Digger'' and ''The Suona Player'' were film adaptions of short stories written by Wang Ben-hu. Wang Ping (Three Kingdoms)
Wang Ping (died 248), courtesy name Zijun, was a military general of the state of Shu Han in the Three Kingdoms period of China. Originally a military officer serving under the warlord Cao Cao. In 219, he defected to Cao Cao's rival Liu Bei during the Hanzhong Campaign. Although he was a talented orator, Wang Ping never learned to read because he joined the army at a young age. However, he did not let this disadvantage stop him and had his clerk help him with his reports. Known for his self discipline, he steadily rose through the ranks to become a senior general. During his career, he defeated Zhang He, quelled Wei Yan's alleged rebellion and was the leading commander of the Shu forces during the Battle of Xingshi.
