Hawkeye (1994 TV Series)
''Hawkeye'' (also referred to as ''Hawkeye: The First Frontier'') is a Canadian adventure-Western television series created by Kim LeMasters. The series aired in syndication for one season from 1994 to 1995, and was produced by Stephen J. Cannell. It was filmed in North Vancouver and Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Based on characters from the ''Leatherstocking Tales'', a set of novels written by James Fenimore Cooper, the series takes place in 1755 Hudson Valley, New York during the French and Indian War. It follows the main character, Natty Bumppo ( Lee Horsley), his Native American companion Chingachgook ( Rodney A. Grant), English trading post owner Elizabeth Shields (Lynda Carter) and other people stationed at or living in the vicinity of Fort Bennington. Chingachgook
Chingachgook is a fictional character in four of James Fenimore Cooper's five ''Leatherstocking Tales'', including his 1826 novel ''The Last of the Mohicans''. Chingachgook was a lone Mohican chief and companion of the series' hero, Natty Bumppo. In ''The Deerslayer'' (1841), Chingachgook married Wah-ta-Wah, who had a son with him named Uncas, but died while she was still young. Uncas, who was at his birth "last of the Mohicans", grew to manhood but was killed in a battle with the Huron warrior Magua. Chingachgook died as an old man in the novel '' The Pioneers'' (1823), which made him the actual "last of the Mohicans", having outlived his son. Jesús Salvador Treviño (born March 26, 1946, in El Paso, Texas) is an American television director of Mexican descent. Kenneth Todd Biller (born December 23, 1964) is a television producer, writer, director and editor. Brad Turner is a Canadian film director, television director and photographer. Life and career Born in Bayfield, Ontario, Canada, on June 22. He graduated with honours from the Television Arts Program at H. B. Beal Secondary School in London, Ontario. In all he has directed thirteen films, and over two hundred episodes of television.
