Financial history History Royal Haskoning Johan van Hasselt taught civil engineering at the Royal Netherlands Military Academy in Breda for a year before starting his own engineering firm in Nijmegen. The Markthal (English language, English: Market Hall) is a residential and office building with a market hall underneath, located in Rotterdam. The building was opened on October 1, 2014, by Queen Máxima Zorreguieta, Máxima of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Netherlands. Vizhinjam International Seaport Thiruvananthapuram (, ), also known as Port of Trivandrum is India's first deep-water transshipment port. The World Islands () are an archipelago of small artificial islands constructed in the shape of a world map, located in the Persian Gulf, off the coast of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The World Islands are composed mainly of sand Sand mining, dredged from Dubai's shallow coastal waters and are one of several artificial island developments in the emirate. The World's developer is Nakheel Properties. Construction was done by two Dutch joint-venture specialist companies, Van Oord and Boskalis, who also created the Palm Jumeirah. The Seine–Nord Europe Canal (, ) is a planned high-capacity (''grand gabarit'') canal in France that would link the Oise River at Compiègne with the Dunkirk-Scheldt Canal, east of Arleux. It is the French part of a proposed Seine-Scheldt canal that would ultimately connect the Rhine and Seine basins inland. The stated objective is to expand trade flows in a fuel-efficient and ecologically friendly manner between the Seine basin and Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands, while reducing saturation on the A1 motorway in France and reducing the emissions in the transport sector within this corridor. Completion is expected in 2030. Palm Jebel Ali () is an artificial archipelago in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It began construction in October 2002 and was originally planned to be completed by mid-2008 but has been on hold since. It was relaunched in 2024. The project, which is 50 percent larger than Palm Jumeirah, is proposed to include six marinas, a water theme park, a 'Sea Village', homes built on stilts above the water, and boardwalks that circle the "fronds" of the "palm" and spelling out an Arabic poem by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum reading; "Take wisdom from the wise, it takes a man of vision to write on water, not everyone who rides a horse is a jockey, great men rise to greater challenges". Padstow Lifeboat Station
Padstow Lifeboat Station has been at Trevose Head west of Padstow, Cornwall, since 1967. Before that it was at Hawker's Cove on the Camel estuary between the town and the sea. The lifeboat station is run by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), and since 2006 has been the base for RNLB ''Spirit of Padstow''. History The entrance to the River Camel is difficult to navigate because of the Doom Bar sandbank. This, and the steep cliffs and rocks along coast either side of the estuary, have been the site of many shipwrecks.
