Darren Hart (born 1991), better known as Harts, is an Indian-Australian musician, multi-instrumentalist, composer and music producer from Melbourne, Australia. He composes, produces and records his own music in his bedroom studio. Harts' music has been described as dance-oriented alternative rock and electronic indie, blending elements of funk, post-disco, psychedelic rock, soul, jazz, new romanticism, and blues. More recently, Harts has become known for his Hendrix-like guitar playing and blend of funk, pop, rock and soul music, which has earned praise from wide range of musicians such as Prince, Questlove, Nick Littlemore, André Cymone, Lars Stalfors and publications such as ''Time'', ''Rolling Stone'', ''NME'' and more. Harts is a census-designated place (CDP) at the mouth of Big Harts Creek in Lincoln County, West Virginia, United States, situated along the Guyandotte River. As of the 2020 census, its population was 573 (down from 656 at the 2010 census). Harts is a part of the Huntington-Ashland, WV-KY-OH, Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). The Harts CDP includes the unincorporated communities of Harts, Atenville, Ferrellsburg, and Sand Creek. Geography Harts is located in southern Lincoln County at (38.030643, -82.128147). West Virginia Route 10 passes through the center of the community, following the Guyandotte River. The highway leads northwest (downstream) to Huntington and southeast (upstream) to Chapmanville. Harts Stores (Hart's Family Center) was a regional general merchandise chain in the midwestern United States, headquartered for many years in Columbus, Ohio. History In 1954, Big Bear Stores Co., Columbus, OH based supermarket chain purchased Harts Stores, a department store that was operating at the time in the basements of two Big Bears. Harts experienced rapid growth, as Big Bear often opened grocery stores along with a Harts Department Store in an adjacent space as well as many free-standing locations usually vacated by other department stores. At its peak in the late 1980s, there were a total of 29 Harts Stores, but towards the end of 1990, the company decided to favor the Big Bear Plus store format over the Harts general merchandise format and started to slowly shutter or convert all remaining Harts locations. Harts Hill railway station served the Woodside and Holly Hall areas of Dudley, in the West Midlands (historically Worcestershire and later Staffordshire), England. It was on the Oxford-Worcester-Wolverhampton Line. History The station was opened in 1895 by the Great Western Railway, which was keen to invest in what was perceived to be the lucrative passenger area of the Black Country. It was intended to serve the communities between Brierley Hill and Dudley. Harts Range, officially registered as Hart Range, is a town in the Northern Territory of Australia located on the Plenty Highway by road northeast of Alice Springs. It is also the name of a mountain range, after which it was named. It has also been referred to as Hart's Range. The Plenty River runs to the north of the range and the town. The Harts River () is a northern tributary of the Vaal River, which in turn is the largest tributary of the Orange River (also known as the Gariep River, the largest river in South Africa). Its source is in the North West Province, but the greater part of its basin is located in the Northern Cape Province, which it enters a few kilometers downstream from the Taung Dam.
