Harrie Mitchell
Harrie Robert Croft Mitchell (27 June 1906 – 5 February 1967) was an Australian politician and a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly for a single term between 1938 and 1941. He was a member of the United Australia Party Early life Mitchell was born in Warren, New South Wales and was the son of a police constable. He was educated at Bathurst High School and the University of Sydney, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1929. Mitchell was called to the bar in 1936 but reverted to the solicitors' roll in 1944. He had extensive business interests and was the director of several companies including a brewery and two building societies. Mitchell enlisted in the Second Australian Imperial Force at the commencement of World War Two and obtained the rank of Major. He was posted to an artillery unit in North-Western Australia. Harrie Wood (12 February 1831 – 18 September 1917) was an Australian miner and civil servant. Wood was born at Kensington in London to public servant William Alexander Wood and Margaret Eleanor Hall. In November 1852 he came to Melbourne in the ''Admiral'' and became a goldminer, working at Ballarat from 1855 to 1857 and becoming clerk of the Ballarat Mining Board in April 1858. In September 1861 he was appointed Ballarat district mining registrar and in 1870 he was a founder of the Ballarat School of Mines, serving as first council secretary. On 1 July 1868 he married Ellen Dalrymple at Carlton. In October 1873 he moved to New South Wales as a member of the Department of Mines, advocating reforms to surveying and registration procedures. Harrie Walter Wade OBE (10 January 1905 – 18 November 1964) was an Australian politician. He was a member of the Country Party and served as a Senator for Victoria from 1956 until his death in 1964. He was the party's Senate leader and held ministerial office in the Menzies Government as Minister for Air (1960–1961) and Minister for Health (1961–1964). Early life Wade was born in Clear Lake, Victoria (about 40 km southwest of Horsham) and educated at Horsham State School and Horsham High School. Henri "Harry/Harrie" Steevens (born 27 April 1945) is a retired Dutch cyclist who was active between 1960 and 1972. He competed at the 1964 Summer Olympics in the individual road race and finished in 40th place. Two years later he won a silver medal in the team time trial at the 1966 UCI Road World Championships. He also won the Olympia's Tour (1965), Ronde van Limburg (1966) and Amstel Gold Race (1968), as well as individual stages of the Olympia's Tour (1964, 1965, 1966), Vuelta a Andalucía (1968) and Tour de Suisse (1970).
