Dorry L. Segev is the head of the Center for Surgical and Transplant Applied Research at NYU Langone Health. Previously he served as the Marjory K. and Thomas Pozefsky Professor of Surgery at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, professor of epidemiology at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and associate vice chair of the Department of Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He has made significant contributions to the field of transplantation, including developing a mathematical model to facilitate a nationwide kidney paired donation program, both in the US and Canada. Dov Segev-Steinberg (; born 1956 in Tel Aviv) was an Israeli diplomat who lastly held the position of Chargé d'affairs at the Israel embassy in Myanmar. In his previous diplomatic position he was the Israeli Ambassador to Finland and non-resident Ambassador to Estonia. He was also Ambassador to South Africa from 2008 until 2013 and Consul General in Mumbai. In 2022, he became Chargé d'affaires in Myanmar. Inbal Segev
Inbal Segev () is a cellist who grew up in Israel. Segev began her studies in Israel at the age of 5. With the recommendation of Isaac Stern, she came to the United States to continue her studies at the age of 16. She debuted with the Israel Philharmonic and the Berlin Philharmonic under the direction of Zubin Mehta. Her Carnegie Hall debut was held on December 7, 1997, where she performed the Carnegie Hall premiere of ''Trois strophes sur le nom de Sacher'' for solo cello by Henri Dutilleux. Itay Segev (; born June 15, 1995) is an Israeli professional basketball player for Ironi Ness Ziona of the Israeli Basketball Premier League. Mordechai Segev
Mordechai "Moti" Segev () is an Israeli physicist at the Technion who is known for his work on lasers, nonlinear optics, solitons, and quantum optics. Career Segev studied physics at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, earning his bachelor's degree in 1985 and his Ph.D. in 1990. After earning his Ph.D., he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the California Institute of Technology. He then went to Princeton University in 1994 as an assistant professor, and he was promoted to associate professor in 1997 and full professor in 1999. In 1998 Segev returned to work as a professor at the Technion. In 2009 he was appointed the Robert J. Shillman Distinguished Professor of Physics and Electrical Engineering. Moshe Segev (Hebrew: משה שגב; Better known as Segev Moshe (שגב משה); born 29 September 1973) is an Israeli celebrity chef, restaurateur, television presenter and cookbook author. Gonen Segev (; born 6 January 1956) is a former Minister of Energy & Infrastructure of Israel, member of Knesset, and pediatrician. In 2005 he was convicted of forgery, credit card fraud and attempting to smuggle drugs. In 2019 he was convicted of spying for Iran and was sentenced to 11 years in prison. Tom Segev (; born March 1, 1945) is an Israeli historian, author and journalist. He is associated with Israel's New Historians, a group critical of many of the country's traditional narratives. Biography Segev was born on March 1, 1945 in Jerusalem. His parents, Ricarda (née Meltzer) and Heinz Schwerin were artists who had met at the Bauhaus art school and fled Nazi Germany in 1935 due to their Communist orientation (Heinz was also Jewish). His mother was a photographer; his father, an architect and toy manufacturer, died on February 3, 1948, when falling from a building during the 1948 Arab–Israeli War.
