Hapoel Hevel Modi'in () is a professional basketball club based in Hevel Modi'in Regional Council of Israel. The team plays in the Israeli National League. History Hapoel Hevel Modi'in have played most of their years in Liga Alef, the fourth and lowest level tier in Israeli basketball, until the 2017–18 season, where they have qualified to the Liga Artzit as the Liga Alef champions. On June 11, 2017, They have appointed Pini Gershon as Hevel Modi'in new general manager. He has resigned from his position on August 8, 2019. In the 2018–19 season, Hevel Modi'in have won the 2019 Liga Artzit championship title, earning a promotion to the Israeli National League for the first time in their history. Liga Leumit (basketball)
Liga Leumit (, lit. ''National League'') is the second tier level league of basketball competition in Israel. It is the league level that is below the first tier Israeli Premier League. League system On 30 July, 2024 the Israel Basketball Association announces new game system. The regular season be played in a home-and-away Round-robin tournament, round-robin format. The top 6 finishers will advance to the Top-teams League Group, and the rest of the teams will advance to the Bottom-Teams League Group. The winner of the Top-teams League Group will be promoted to the Israeli Basketball Premier League, Premier League, while the 2nd to 9th ranked teams will advance to the playoff to determine the second team that will be promoted. Hevel Modi'in Regional Council () is a regional council (Israel), regional council located partly in the Shephelah region and partly in the Central Coastal Plain region of the Central District (Israel), Central District of Israel. Alon Stein (; born January 4, 1978) is an Israeli-German professional basketball coach and former player. Anthony Gordon Younger (; born April 1, 1980) is an American-Israeli professional basketball coach and former player. Pini Gershon
Pinhas "Pini" Gershon (; born 13 November 1951), is an Israeli former professional basketball player and coach. He won three top-level European-wide club championships as the head coach of Maccabi Tel Aviv. He won the FIBA SuproLeague championship in 2001, and the EuroLeague championship in 2004 and 2005. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest coaches in Israeli and European history. He was named the EuroLeague Coach of the Year in 2005. In 2008, he was named one of the 50 Greatest EuroLeague Contributors, as a coach. He was also the head coach of the senior Bulgarian national team.
