Eric Hänni
Eric Hänni (19 December 1938 – 25 December 2024) was a Swiss judoka who competed between 1959 and 1974. In 1964 he won an Olympic silver medal and a European bronze medal in the lightweight category. During his career Hänni won seven individual national titles (1959, 1962, 1964, 1965, 1969–71) and took part in twelve European Judo Championships, European and three World Judo Championships, World Championships. Hänni's parents divorced before he was ten, and Hänni lived with his uncle in Bern. He then moved to Canton of Jura where he worked as a mechanic. Besides competing in judo, he also acted as a referee, at the national (since 1965), European (since 1974) and world level (since 1985). In 1966 he started coaching judo, first in Zurich and between 1967 and 1972 at ''Nippon Bern''. In 1972 he opened his own judo club in his native Delémont, which he ran until 1995. Hanni Ossott (14 February 1946 – 31 December 2002) was a Venezuelan poet, translator and critic. Life She was born in Caracas and she received her bachelor's degree in the Universidad Central de Venezuela, where she was also a professor. She was awarded the José Antonio Ramos Sucre Prize and the Lazo Martí Prize and she worked as a translator and a critic. Hanni Pham (born 6 October 2004), known mononymously as Hanni (), is an Australian singer based in South Korea. In July 2022, she made her debut as a member of the South Korean girl group NewJeans, under the record label ADOR. Early life Hanni Pham, whose Vietnamese name is Phạm Ngọc Hân, was born on 6 October 2004, in Melbourne, Australia to Vietnamese parents. Her father is from Hanoi, and her mother is from Ho Chi Minh City. Career 2019–2021: Pre-debut activities In 2019, she began performing in her hometown as a member of the Aemina Dance Crew, who specialized in covering the choreography of K-pop groups. She won Liechtenstein's first-ever Olympic medal at the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, Austria, and its first two Olympic gold medals four years later in Lake Placid, New York. Hanni Ehlers (born 2 August 1954, Eutin) is a German translator known for translating English and Dutch literature into German. Career Ehlers has translated books written by numerous Dutch authors, including Renate Dorrestein, Guus Kuijer, Joke van Leeuwen, Connie Palmen and Els Pelgrom. Other authors include Carli Biessels, Jessica Durlacher, Anna Enquist, Nelleke Noordervliet and Leon de Winter. Johannes-Andreas Hanni (24 March 1957 – 6 November 1982) was an Estonian serial killer who murdered three people in 1982 with the aid of his wife Pille. Early life Johannes-Andreas Hanni was born in Valga, Estonia, Valga in Estonian Soviet Socialist Republic, Soviet Estonia, and grew up in a family of devout Baptists. Hanni Julius Bjartalíð (born 1968) is a Faroese painter. Born in Klaksvík, he attended art school in Kokkola in Finland. He has held exhibitions in the Faroe Islands, Denmark, Finland, Germany and has featured in Biennial shows in the United Kingdom. He is currently living in Helsinki, Finland. Originally a painter he has been compared to the Italian Arte Povera artists by using found materials close at hand. Bjartalíð recycles his canvases to such an extent that they are almost always heavy with paint, even the small paintings. The majority of his work now takes the form of 3d sculptures created from found materials. Just as with his paintings Bjartalíð recycles his sculptural objects often reusing parts from works shown in exhibitions to create new, larger works. Wilf Hanni (born February 19, 1948) is a Canadian politician and oil industry consultant in British Columbia. Hanni served as leader of the Reform Party of BC from August 30, 1997 to June 1998, and later as leader of the British Columbia Party, and the BC Conservative Party. He was the leader of the Christian Heritage Party of BC until 2013 when he stepped down due to family health issues. On September 24, 2005, following a non-confidence vote in leader Barry Chilton, Hanni was appointed Interim Leader of the BC Conservative Party. On March 18, 2006 in Kamloops, Hanni was chosen as Leader of the party. His resignation as leader was announced by the party on June 30, 2009. Hanni is a resident of Cranbrook.
