Hannah Williams (July 16, 1911 – January 11, 1973) was an American actress, singer, and comedian and former wife of bandleader Roger Wolfe Kahn and International Boxing Hall of Fame, Hall of Fame boxer Jack Dempsey. Life and career Hannah Williams was born in Taylor, Pennsylvania and performed as a young child with her older sister Dorothy as "The Williams Sisters", a singing and dancing vaudeville act. Hannah was aged eight and her sister Dorothy aged ten when they commenced their stage careers. The sisters performed with the Scranton Sirens Orchestra (1923), and achieved early fame on Broadway, New York, when they performed in George White's Scandals of 1924. In Chicago, they performed with the Charley Straight Orchestra in (1925), and with the Ben Pollack Orchestra from 1926 to 1927, and in various Chicago and New York nightclubs and theaters. Hannah Williams (athlete)
Hannah Williams (born 23 April 1998) is a British track and field athlete. She won the bronze medal in the women's 4 × 400 metres relay at the 2018 IAAF World Indoor Championships. She became British champion when winning the 200 metres event at the 2020 British Athletics Championships in a time of 23.83 secs. Her sister Jodie Williams is a two time British champion. Hannah English Williams
Hannah English Williams (died 1722) was a collector of natural history in the American British Colonies during the early 18th century. Living near Charleston, South Carolina, she aided in documenting South Carolina's natural resources. She is documented as the first female to collect specimens of plants and animals in the American British colonies and send them back overseas for scientific collections in London. Personal life Hannah English Williams married Matthew English and had two children with him, Mary and Henroyda. After the death of her husband, she was entitled to five hundred acres of land near Stony Point in November of 1692. She then wedded William Williams, an adjacent plantation owner, and gained another five hundred acres of land close to the Ashley River to add to her property near Stony Point.
