Boze Hadleigh
Boze Hadleigh (born May 15, 1954) is an author. Until the 1990s, he published some of his works under the pseudonym George Hadley-Garcia. Several of his books cover popular culture, show business, and LGBT culture. His 22 books have been translated into 14 languages. Writings Several of his books deal with pop culture and/or entertainment history and how the media and status quo shape and manipulate audiences' perceptions and opinions. Some of his books are exclusively about the LGBTQ, LGBT presence and contributions to entertainment. Some of Hadleigh's books are quote collections, some are histories and overviews, and some are interviews with movie personalities. Several of these interviews, as with Rock Hudson, were published in periodicals before the subjects died. Life Boze Hadleigh was born on May 15, 1954, in Syria. Hadleigh William Parkes (born 5 October 1987) is a New Zealand-born Welsh international rugby union player, whose favoured position is at the centre. He currently plays for the Black Rams Tokyo in the Japan Rugby League One. Parkes also has a successful BBC sport rugby union column. Hadleigh, Essex
Hadleigh is a town and former civil parish that is within the borough of Castle Point, located in the southeast of the county of Essex, England, on the A13 between Thundersley, Benfleet and Leigh-on-Sea with a population of 18,300. It has a squared bypass to the north (the A127 'Southend Arterial Road'). History Hadleigh is known for its castle, and the country park to the south of the town centre. This gives its name to the local government district of Castle Point, with its extensive views overlooking the Thames Estuary. Most of the facing stones were stripped from the castle in the 16th century – the only bits still visible today being high inside the surviving towers and a small section of the 'gate house' – so most of what remains today is the rubble infill that was packed between the outer facing stones. Hadleigh Castle
Hadleigh Castle is a ruined fortification in the English county of Essex, overlooking the Thames Estuary from south of the town of Hadleigh. Built after 1215 during the reign of Henry III by Hubert de Burgh, the castle was surrounded by parkland and had an important economic and defensive role. The castle was significantly expanded and remodelled by Edward III, who turned it into a grander property, designed to defend against a potential French attack, as well as to provide the King with a convenient private residence close to London. Built on a soft hill of London clay, the castle has often been subject to subsidence; this, combined with the sale of its stonework in the 16th century, has led to it now being ruined. The remains are now preserved by English Heritage and protected under UK law as a Grade I listed building and scheduled monument. Hadleigh () is an ancient market town and civil parish in the Babergh district of Suffolk, England. The town is situated next to the River Brett, between the larger towns of Sudbury and Ipswich. It had a population of 8,253 at the 2011 census. The headquarters of Babergh District Council were located in the town until 2017. Hadleigh Railway
The Hadleigh Railway was a long single track branch railway line in Suffolk, England, that connected Hadleigh to the main line railway network at Bentley Junction. It was built by the nominally independent Eastern Union and Hadleigh Junction Railway company and opened in 1847. By the time of opening it had been taken over by the larger Eastern Union Railway. It was never successful commercially, nor in reviving the fortunes of Hadleigh itself, and passenger services were withdrawn in 1932, followed by total closure in 1965. Hadleigh High School is situated on Highlands Road in Hadleigh, Suffolk, England. It is a secondary school with academy status, and has around 760 pupils aged 11 to 16. ''Hadleigh'' is a British television series that was produced by Yorkshire Television and originally ran from 1969 to 1976. Developed by Robert Barr, it was a sequel to the writer's earlier ''Gazette'' (1968) for the same company. The theme music was composed by Alan Moorhouse and, from series 3, Tony Hatch. James Hadleigh, played by Gerald Harper, was "the perfect squire, paternalistically careful of his tenantry's welfare, beloved in the village, respected in the council."
