''Habibi'' is a 1997 young adult novel by Naomi Shihab Nye. It tells the story of 14-year-old Liyana Abboud and her family, her Arab father, United States, American mother, and brother Rafik, who move from their home in St. Louis to Mr. Abboud's native home of Palestine (region), Palestine in the 1970s. It is semi-autobiographical. Nye's debut novel was named an American Library Association, ALA Best Book for Young Adults, an ALA Notable Book, a New York Public Library Book for the Teen Age, and a Texas Institute of Letters Best Book for Young Readers. It received the Jane Addams Children's Book Award, given annually to a children's book that advances the causes of peace and social equality. Habibi (foaled 4 September 2009) is a New Zealand thoroughbred racehorse. She is most noted for winning the 2013 New Zealand Derby; one of only five fillies since 1980 to achieve this feat. Habibi (poet)
Habibi (, ; 1470–1519/1520) was a late 15th and early 16th century poet. He is regarded as the most important Azerbaijani poet of his generation. Habibi spent the early years of his life in the court of Aq Qoyunlu ruler Yaqub Beg, where he began writing his first poems. In 1502, he became a Safavid court poet, earning the title "king of poets" from Safavid king Ismail I. His works were written in his native Azerbaijani language and dealt with topics like love, alcohol, Hurufism and Sufism. He influenced major later poets, including Fuzuli, and had a significant influence on the development of Azerbaijani literature. Habibi spent his final years in Anatolia, where he died in 1519 or 1520. Asher Mizrahi (; 1890 – 27 October 1967) was a Jewish Tunisian tenor singer and musician, who was born in Jerusalem eventually returned to Israel.He was considered one of the greatest Sephardic-Jerusalem cantors of the 20th century and was renowned among both Jewish and Arab communities. Milk & Honey was a German musical duo composed of Anne Ross and Manel Filali. The duo were formed in 2006 and they signed with Warner to release their debut single "Habibi (Je T'aime)", which was the lead single from their only studio album, ''Elbi'' (2008).
