Gustavo Florentín
Gustavo Atilano Florentín Morínigo (born 30 June 1978) is a Paraguayan football manager and former player who played as a defender. He is the current manager of Colombian club Deportivo Pasto. Playing career Born in San Antonio, Florentín started playing for Paraguarí-based side Sud América before joining Cerro Porteño in 1996. He rarely settled for a club during his career, representing local sides 12 de Octubre, Sportivo San Lorenzo, Colegiales, Recoleta, Sol de América, Sportivo Luqueño, Fernando de la Mora, Guaraní and Tacuary. He also spent a short time abroad in 2003, representing Romanian side Farul Constanța. At the international level, Florentín played for the under-20 national team in the 1997 FIFA World Youth Championship in Malaysia. San Antonio, Paraguay
History Some historians claim that the town was begun by Dr Gaspar Rodríguez de Francia (1814–1840), who established a fortress to defend the Paraguayan territory. Others say the town began around 1679. In 1782 the Franciscan Missionaries founded an Indian town in the area with donations of the neighbors of Asuncion. San Antonio may have been founded in 1890 by the German citizen Gustavo Conrado Gotees (born Conrad Götz in Schnabelwald, Germany). San Antonio was important in the Paraguayan War (1864–1870). Brazilian troops arrived in its ports, en route to the historical battle of Ytororo in December 1868. After the war San Antonio was empty. The Strongest
Club The Strongest is a Bolivian professional football club based in La Paz, that currently plays in the Bolivian Primera División. Founded in 1908, their team colours are yellow and black. Although they have a home ground, Estadio Rafael Mendoza, (capacity: 15,000), they play most of their games at the Estadio Hernando Siles, Bolivia's national ground (capacity: 42,000). The club is the oldest active football club in Bolivia and the only team to have played continuously in the country's top division for longer than a century. ''ABC Color'' is a major Paraguayan newspaper with offices in the city of Asunción. The editorial that publishes the newspaper (Azeta) was founded August 8, 1967 by Aldo Zuccolillo. The División Profesional de la Asociación Paraguaya de Fútbol (; "Professional Division of the Paraguayan Football Association"), also known as the Primera División (; "first division"), or due to sponsorship reasons Copa de Primera TIGO-Visión Banco, is the top-flight professional football league in Paraguay. Gustavo Eliseo Morínigo Vázquez (born 23 January 1977) is a Paraguayan football manager and former player who played as a midfielder. He is the current manager of Ceará. Club career Born in Coronel Oviedo, Morínigo was a Libertad youth graduate. He made his first team debut in 1996, but left the club ahead of the 1999 season after signing for Guaraní. Morínigo returned to Libertad for the 2001 campaign, and moved abroad in 2004 after agreeing to a contract with Argentinos Juniors. After featuring sparingly, he rejoined Libertad for a third spell in the following year. On 25 January 2006, Morínigo moved to Deportivo Cali, but returned to his home country in the following year with Cerro Porteño. César Farías
César Alejandro Farías Acosta (born 7 March 1973) is a Venezuelan football manager, currently in charge of Ecuadorian club Aucas. Farías is known for having coached Deportivo Táchira, Mineros de Guayana, Deportivo Anzoátegui and the Venezuelan U-20 team. The 1997 FIFA World Youth Championship, known as the 1997 FIFA/Coca-Cola World Youth Championship for sponsorship purposes, was the 11th staging of the FIFA World Youth Championship. Institución Atlética Sud América, usually known as Sud América or just IASA, is a football club from Montevideo. They currently play in the Uruguayan Segunda Division.
